Novena carrera de la temporada y séptima que gana Max Verstappen ya que las otras dos las ganó su compañero de equipo el Checo Pérez, este se traduce en que el dominio de la Red Bull ha sido notorio y grosero en todo lo que va de año. No se si pueda haber sorpresas por esa lucha del campeonato, la ventaja que lleva el neerlandés es muy amplia además de que por la manera en la que esta pilotando se ve un poco imposible que haya una caída en su rendimiento; pero en donde si hay movida y la lucha se puede tornar interesante es en el segundo lugar tanto en la clasificación de pilotos como en la de los equipos y más aún después de los resultados de este fin de semana.

Un fin de semana que se caracterizó por los inconvenientes que se dieron en este circuito de la Red Bull en Spielberg ya que fueron incontables las veces que los pilotos se llegaron a exceder los limites de la pista acarreando sanciones tanto en la pole position como en la misma carrera del día de ayer. Algo que escuchaba durante la transmisión es que no era posible que tantos pilotos se "equivocaran" en una misma curva, en este caso la 10, por lo que quizás lo que está mal no son ellos sino la regla en si. Para mi esa "ventaja" que pueden llegar a sacar al salirse de los limites es mínima y nada determinante, no creo que afecte los resultados de la carrera por lo que diría que si, habría que revisar ese reglamento porque no es posible que ocho pilotos estén haciendo las cosas mal.

Como saben este fin de semana fue uno en donde vivimos carrera sprint, en lo personal no me gusta este nuevo formato de la Formula 1, no se, no le veo el sentido el hacer dos carreras pero bueno. La cosa es que el día viernes tuvimos una pole la cual decidiría las posiciones de la parrilla para el día de ayer en donde nos dimos cuenta que la Ferrari estaba haciendo las cosas bien, es curioso como cada fin de semana como que se van turnando los equipos para dar buenas sensaciones, hace un par de carreras fue la Mercedes la que parecía emerger de la nada o los de Aston Martin dando cátedra. Pues hay que decir que en Austria fue la Ferrari la que se enseñó los dientes y se llevaron el podio en una clasificación la cual estuvo francamente cerrada.
As you know this weekend was one where we had a sprint race, personally I don't like this new format of Formula 1, I don't know, I don't see the point in having two races but well. The thing is that on Friday we had a pole which would decide the positions of the grid for yesterday where we realized that Ferrari was doing things right, it's funny how every weekend as the teams are taking turns to give good feelings, a couple of races ago it was the Mercedes that seemed to emerge from nowhere or Aston Martin giving lecture. Well, it must be said that in Austria it was Ferrari who showed their teeth and took the podium in a classification which was frankly close.
Pero dicha pole no estuvo exenta de sanciones ya que por ejemplo al Checo Pérez quedó fuera en la Q2 por todo este tema de los limites de pista ya que le borraron el tiempo que había hecho. Esa tónica es la que veríamos, tristemente, durante todo el fin de semana. Llegaríamos al sábado en donde huno otra pole pero esta vez para la carrera sprint, en esta oportunidad Max volvería a arrasar, el Checo aprendiendo de sus errores quedaría de segundo y un sorprendente Lando Norris, quien tuvo un gran fin de semana, saldría de tercero. Para esta carrera los Ferrari no estuvieron tan finos pero tampoco sin ser un desastre. Desastre fue Russell quien en las dos pole position quedó fuera en la Q2, terrible fin de semana para el joven británico.

La particularidad de esta carrera sprint es que se daría bajo la lluvia lo que realmente la hizo bastante interesante, no es mentira que una carrera bajo estas condiciones son mucho más entretenidas de ver. Hay algo que me pareció increíble y es que los pilotos de Haas bajo la lluvia son unas flechas al punto que Hulkenberg fue el dueño del segundo lugar por cierto tiempo hasta que la pista se comenzó a secar y fue perdiendo posiciones. Estos pilotos que nunca dan de que hablar cuando las situaciones son adversas siempre se lucen. Una carrera que solo premia a los ochos primeros vio como la Red Bull se llevó el 1-2 con Sainz de tercero seguidos de los dos pilotos de Aston Martin.

Unos resultados que no servirían de nada para la carrera del domingo ya que esas posiciones estaban listas desde el viernes. Día de carrera y con unas condiciones totalmente distintas al del día anterior, estábamos sin lluvia aunque por ahí habían unas nubes negras. Hay que decir que por momentos fue una carrera muy entretenida en donde las estrategias alrededor del uso de los neumáticos fue lo que por momentos dictó la sintonía y el camino de la misma y es que a lo largo de las posiciones en pista siempre había una batalla, recordemos que este circuito es uno en donde se dan más adelantamientos, es muy fácil que se den sobrepasos. En términos generales la carrera de Verstappen fue perfecta, nunca tuvo contratiempos, llegó a estar de segundo pero sin problemas recortó la ventaja con Leclerc y rápidamente recuperó el liderato, la realidad es que no tiene rival hoy por hoy.

La zona de arriba se movió poco a pesar de las paradas de los pits, creo que casi todos los equipos llevaron a cabo estrategias esperadas, el tema es que los neumáticos rendían mejor en unos carros que en otros, por lo menos ayer la goma que mejor se vio fue la dura y hubo pilotos a los que no les funcionó del todo. Lo mejor que vimos fue a la altura de las cuartas y quintas posiciones con Norris, Sainz y el Checo, de hecho el español y el mexicano llevaron a cabo una lucha bastante interesante en donde Sainz acusó a Pérez de intimidarlo pero nada que no estuviera dentro de lo que es las maniobras típicas de carrera. Norris con Hamilton por momentos también tuvieron su protagonismo, en fin, hasta que faltaron un poco más de 10 vueltas la carrera estuvo buena, después de ahí todo se volvió plano y tedioso.

Con estas sanciones el top 10 se trastoca un poco, no el podio pero si lo demás. El 1-2 sería para la Red Bull, Leclerc de tercero, un buen Norris se quedaría con la cuarta plaza y Alonso callado el quinto lugar, Sainz bajaría al sexto. A pesar de todo la Ferrari tuvo un fin de semana, las sensaciones fueron buenas, veremos si se mantienen.

Verstappen sigue en la punta 229 puntos, seguido del Checo Pérez con 148 y Alonso con 131 mientras que en los constructores la Red Bull sigue en lo más alto con 377 pero muy seguido por la Mercedes y Aston Martin con 178 y 175 respectivamente; ahí es donde está lucha y lo interesante que se verá en lo que queda de temporada. La próxima carrera será este fin de semana en Silverstone, un icono de circuito.

Checo Pérez me recuerda mucho al desaparecido Airton Senna, espero que obviamente no corra con el mismo destino pero si que logre cosechar el triunfo que dejó en deuda el destino con Senna.
