Los octavos de final están recién sacados del horno y el día de hoy la intención es hablar un poco acerca de ellos y de que tan interesantes, o no, terminaron siendo estos cruces a disputarse en el mes de febrero. La primera particularidad que puedo ver es que los ochos partidos están realmente parejos, no hay uno de ellos en los que uno pueda decir que sea un juego de la muerte o un enfrentamiento histórico, tenía tiempo que no veía unos octavos de final con estas características. Otras de las cosas que también puede que afecten estos octavos de final es el rendimiento que están teniendo algunos de los clubes en la actualidad, está claro que los que son considerados "potencias" no están al nivel esperado.

Los dos están de casi en la misma zona en sus respectivas tablas, los culés tienen mejor registro de puntos pero a nivel de juego yo me atrevería a decir que grandes diferencias no va a haber.

Hablemos un poco del actual campeón de la Champions y su rival, uno al que todo el mundo da como muerto pero yo no estaría tan seguro de eso.

El Real Madrid, otro de los favoritos a llevarse la orejona le toca medirse contra los alemanes del Leipzig, club que estaba en el mismo grupo del City y que con 12 puntos avanzó de ronda. Acá creo que no hay dudas al respecto, los merengues son un club copero, estas competiciones se les da bastante bien, se crecen siempre cuando el rival se los permite. El Leipzig marcha tercero en la Bundesliga a 7 del líder, no están tan mal la verdad, ellos siempre han sido muy competitivos, creo que les pueden dar pelea a los blancos pero hasta acá llegarán. Pendientes con las bajas en defensa del Madrid, ahora hay que sumarle la de Alaba que se pierde el resto de la temporada; sin Militao ni el austriaco habrá que ver cómo funciona esa saga defensiva. Creo que ahorita en el mercado de invierno tendrá que buscar a un central porque el banquillo no tienen uno de garantía.

Si la Real se le planta como lo ha venido haciendo pues los franceses no tendrán vida en esta eliminatoria, hay que ver si de aquí a dos meses el buen momento de los españoles se mantiene.

Arsenal - Porto y el Atlético Madrid - Inter diría que son otros de los partidos sumamente parejos de estos octavos. Los cuatro equipos están en las partes altas en sus respectivas ligas, esto nos dice que tampoco hay garantías de un avance, cualquier cosa podría pasar. Quisiera que el Arsenal tenga un buen desempeño, desde la temporada pasada ha venido demostrando cosas por lo que creo que es un buen momento para plasmar el buen momento que están teniendo considerando que son los líderes de la Premier en estos momentos. El Bayern va contra la Lazio, el presente de los italianos no es el mejor a pesar de haber clasificado con holgura, en la Serie A van de decimoprimero, muy lejos de los de arriba. Si bien es verdad que el Bayern no es esa máquina bávara de tiempos pasados creo que no tendrá problemas en despachar a su rival.

Creo que a partir de los cuartos de final es cuando veremos los verdaderos cruces que todos esperamos pero mientras tanto nos tocará disfrutar de estos ocho partidos a partir de la segunda semana del mes de febrero.

Vi los cruces de los octavos de la champions y la verdad hay buenos partidos y otros que hay unos claros favoritos. Este año no he seguido mucho la competencia, pero cuando retomen en torneo, trataré de ver más los partidos.
