(ESP-ENG) La nueva casa de Franco Colapinto.
Hello friends, good vibes to all.
Finally, what many of us were waiting for became a fact and the young Argentinean who dazzled so much last season with Williams managed to get the long-awaited signature that would put him in a Formula 1 team. At the time there was talk of Sauber, Racing Bulls and even Red Bull itself but all that was nothing more than rumors in the corridor or paddock in this case and in the end it was the French Alpine team who ended up choosing him as their new reserve driver. With this fact one could begin to deduce several things with respect to what will be next season in relation to the future of Franco and of course of Jack Doohan himself.
This move was the work of the great Flavio Briatore, now executive advisor of Alpine, the person who at the time “sponsored” Schumacher and Fernando Alonso. For this to happen, the team had to pay 20 million to Williams in order to obtain the services of the Argentinean. It is known that the Italian wanted to sign him since the end of the season but for different reasons they stopped him; something had to have changed, besides the pressure of Briatore himself, for this to happen. Personally I applaud and celebrate this because this young man has a great future in the competition, he is one of the fastest young drivers that Formula 1 currently has.
Now, what do I mean when I talk about the future of these riders? - I don't know but for me Jack Doohan has a very strong Nyck de Vries aroma. When Alpine signed the Australian, it is understood that they did it because at the time there were not many options on the market so they had no other choice but to get Doohan's services and of course it was a great opportunity for him. This has now changed radically because the pressure that this rider is going to have on his shoulders will be monumental as he knows that Alpine may have a better rider and therefore a better plan in reserve. I also understand that Jack's contract is results based so the eye will always be on him for any mistakes or collapse in performance.
I do not know how many sponsors Colapinto can bring for the team, I understand that a few given his popularity and quality, this driver in Argentina is already someone extremely relevant, loved and admired, if not correct me my Argentine friends who read me. Given all this situation I may have some prediction of what may end up happening, well me and a few others out there in the networks, and that is that most likely by mid-season we will see Franco driving the Alpine. For this not to happen, Doohan's results would have to be extraordinary and have an immaculate performance for his position not to be in danger as it seems to be happening, even before the season has started.
If the season about to start in a couple of months was already promising because of all the new faces we will see, now with these last minute movements the expectations grow even more. I think justice was done to Franco, it is true that the last races with Williams were not particularly good or fruitful, but if we take a general look at his short time with Williams it was quite acceptable. Obviously he has a lot of things to improve, like any young driver, but that will be polished with the experience that comes from being behind the wheel. I don't want to talk about an internal war within the team between these two drivers but, as I said, it will be very interesting to see Doohan's performance trying to do his best race after race under the watchful eye of Alpine and Franco Colapinto himself.
¡Un abrazo a todos, nos leemos en la próxima!
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.
¡Hugs to all, see you next time!

Saludos, amigo. Un abrazo!
