Hello friends, good vibes to all.

A week ago a whole country was in a cloud, all the people were connected and with an illusion that had not been reflected in people for a long time, whether or not they were followers of soccer or the Vinotinto, and the fact is that reaching the quarterfinals was not something new for us but the way in which we had done it was. In soccer and in life one has to be humble and watch what one says, in the end we are slaves of our words so we have to be very conscious and cautious when making comments or simply cheering. I say all this because prior to that match many people took for granted our pass to the semifinals; one thing is to have faith and confidence in the team, another is, and I repeat, humility.
That the fans do it is not so serious, but that journalists ride that wave of arrogance does not help our people and the process at all. I remember a commentator saying: "Well, who said it would be easy? - It's Argentina's turn..." and to his misfortune, the well-known happened. Since that moment that character has disappeared from the networks. Again, we are slaves of our words. Many people underestimated Canada because of what they saw in the group stage, personally I never did because they were a team that put Argentina in trouble, they drew with Chile and beat Peru. I don't know how many decided that they were going to be beaten.
That game against Canada was very complicated to watch basically because the North Americans went over our heads, it is said and nothing happens. Physically they were much better, the first half was a suffering to see how they beat us in every duel and if it had not been for Rafa Romo we would have ended at least with a 3-0 against us. Our goal came because Salomón Rondón is an eagle and an incredibly experienced guy, he saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. It was a goal that gave us a breath of fresh air but we knew we still had a long way to go to reach the shore safe and sound. In the end we know that penalties can go to anyone, if Messi and Cristiano missed their shots, why blame it on our players? - It is one of the most normal and cruel things in soccer.
The overall balance of our team is not bad, we went undefeated showing improvement in many aspects, the sensations are very top facing the playoffs in two months but we can not be toxic or blind followers, that excessive FAITH that does not allow us to be critical we have to take it off as it does not do anyone any good. As I said that expectations are good, we must also say that there are many things that need to be improved: we lose possession of the ball very quickly, we still have shadows in the defense, many times the connection between midfielders/ends/forwards does not exist, among other things. This does not take away the full and absolute confidence I have in Bocha Batista and the players because I know that the first self-critics are themselves.
But then, could we have beaten Canada? - I think so, I was convinced that we could have, but always with caution. But soccer is mean and does not please everyone. The good thing is that it always gives revenge and I am sure we will have ours. Rafael Romo, Jon Aramburu and a rejuvenated Salomón Rondón are the most notable faces of this Vinotinto in this Copa América; we have a goalkeeper for many years, a right back of the highest quality and projection who I hope will have a very good future in Europe and a Salo Rondón who many wanted to retire but who is still there demonstrating that he is, for some, the best player of this national team, with the permission of the great Juan Arango. Personally, I am very excited about what is coming but at the same time sad because I think we could have made a little more history. Let's hope that this enthusiasm will be the necessary motivation to continue the path we have taken in the qualifiers and thus reach the 2026 World Cup.
¡Un abrazo a todos, nos leemos en la próxima!
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.
¡Hugs to all, see you next time!
🤔
