Antes de que diera comienzo el día de ayer el partido de Venezuela vs Chile estábamos claros que las chances matemáticas de acceder por lo menos al repechaje de la Vinotinto eran casi nulas pero aún así existía una breve ilusión después de haber conseguido aquella victoria ante Ecuador el domingo pasado. Más que optimistas las personas tienen que ser realistas y ese ha sido, según mi forma de ver, el grave problema con nuestra selección por varios años.

Como algunos sabrán el día domingo se jugó una fecha que enfrentaba a Venezuela contra Ecuador en el estadio Olímpico de Caracas, los locales tenían que sumar obligatoriamente si pretendían seguir con chances mínimos en la carrera y supongo que bajo esa mentalidad salieron al campo aquella tarde. Recuerdo que la Vinotinto salió con muchas ganas y con cierta posesión pero no se concretaba nada, todo cambia cuando faltando un poco menos de 10 minutos aparece el primer gol de Ecuador a través de un penalti.

Tal cual les dije la mentalidad del equipo era algo diferente con respecto a los demás partidos y bajo esa premisa lograron empatar justo antes de que se acabara el primer tiempo. Ya en el segundo salieron con la confianza por las nubes y fue así como arribó el segundo gol y el de la victoria. La cuestión es que si, se ganó pero Venezuela mostró MUCHAS deficiencias en el juego aéreo con las jugadas a balón parado y eso fue lo que ayer nos terminó de pasar factura.

Venezuela llegaba a Chile con el envión de la victoria pero al no haber hecho la tarea y haber corregido esos males a la hora de marcar al rival, el resultado no iba y no lo fue en efecto el que se esperaba. Y es que fue tanto así que los 2 primeros goles de Chile fueron de cabeza a raíz de ERRORES de marcación y el tercero por culpa de otros de los grandes males de Venezuela, la imprecisión a la hora de dar un pase.

Venezuela está matemáticamente fuera de la carrera del mundial y lo que a mi criterio considero debería de seguir a partir de este momento es ir pensando desde ya en el próximo ciclo del 2026, ir probando promesas y jugadores jóvenes, que los que ya tengan que dar un paso al costado lo den pero sobretodo que exista CONTINUIDAD y SERIEDAD con el director técnico que vaya a ser el definitivo.

Es verdad que las eliminatorias no han concluido, de hecho hay 2 nuevas fechas dentro de un mes pero para Venezuela no serán para pelear por un cupo para Qatar sino para buscar resurgir e ir pensando en el futuro.

La Vinotinto creo que tiene material para salir de este foso, también creo que hombre por hombre somos más que muchas de las selecciones que están en la Conmebol pero cuando los problemas son tan profundos ni que tengas toda la voluntad y las ganas podrás ver los resultados que pretendes. Que le deparará a Venezuela en un futuro? - la verdad no lo se, solo espero que haya un poco más de trabajo y compromiso por parte de todos lo que conforman la Vinotinto.
