the bicycle obsession : January 16 2025

the moment i step foot outside and saw this scene... oh here we are again. me and my obsession with people in bicycles are getting out of hand. seriously! recently, i take my phone out whenever i see a person in bicycles. but the bad thing is that sometimes i feel that i'm doing it obviously and then remember that i have to be at least subtle with this; people do not wish to be photographed by strangers usually. it can get creepy, i know.

the picture above needs more lens power, just look at how blurred that is.

it was so windy yesterday, today was so much calmer. it was still cold, it was winter. but my coat was enough to shield me. i was walking this road still within my city, it was a new one that i have not been on before. i found a big grocery store in there, quite unexpected to have a big one on a less accessible area of the city. things like these excite me the most in my nightwalks.

this picture above made me happy, seeing a dad and his 2 children on a bike was something. and i really paused on the side of road, waited for them to cross the street before i took the picture. they looked so happy, might be coming from school or from club.

i took a picture of these two bikers as well, got to be discrete this time, i was directly in front. these two came out from the school just on the left. they were just so happy chatting while on the bike. and they were riding so close, if i were one of them i would panic and would fall.

my runny nose was definitely getting awful at this point. this cold weather is really something. and my muscle sores from the gym yesterday were now showing. upper back was hurting a lot, they must have been shocked from the sudden intense workout they got the other day.

i passed by a portion of the road which went down, it was like the opposite of a skywalk or an overhead pedestrian bridge. we do not have passages like this back in my country. they go down the horizon instead of going up on a bridge, something different indeed.

they were boarding the train track bridges using this vehicle which extends to the skies. a modified crane? i really don't know. but it looked so cool to me.

and then a bicycle passed down there with me. i immediately took my phone out and got this shot. still not my dream shot, so the quest for a bicycle shot continues. i guess it is easier to take a shot during daytime where everything is bright and cameras shot faster. cameras at night are just laggy, so many things to consider at night.

the train tracks looked like this at a different location. it is so high up there and looks so reliable. massive projects like this just looks so good, and seeing it against a person's normal size amazes me more.

my route for tonight looked like this, like one side of a butterfly. that was intentional, i really wanted it to look like that. the upper portion of this route was the new one, and that slight bump was the grocery store. there were two other bumps down south, those were also grocery stores. i now wonder what other shape i can create while walking.

as always, AMPING KANUNAY!
