a second look at toyosu manyo club : September 8 2024

how time flies fast, it seems just like yesterday when i first went to this super sento or even onsen place. do you still remember tokyo toyosu manyo club (東京豊洲 万葉倶楽部)? i have featured this in this article below and it is best to check that out first to have more details.

a day spent relaxing at a super public bath: July 14 2024

this is the second time, and i think a quick update will do. the place, as always, is stunning. two months after and no downgrade at all. let me just point out additional stuff, if any, that i noticed as we go through my day.

this time around, i went with the usual gang (@thinkeringbart and three others) along with the three hiveans ( @wittyzell , @appleeatingapple , and @ohlnwwlknat ) who were absent the first time around. we all met around lunch time at the nearest train station, and ate lunch at this soba shop. soba they say is rich in fiber, it was made from buckwheat which was a type of grass.

we went in the onsen place, and changed into some yukata, i had the one with pants (not sure what it is called). the three newcomers bought their tickets from klook, you can ask them for details regarding that.

it was blazing hot, the outside view told so much about the hot weather. it was not yet ideal to go and dip in the warm waters, so we explored the area first until sundown. we must have used up most of the time enjoying some desserts as we were discussing plans regarding the impending korea trip. i had the least input at that plan for sure, i knew nothing about seoul attractions.

the long discussion made us all sleepy. i had some coffee earlier but my eyelids were dropping. good thing that the relaxation rooms were dark and this baseball match was the perfect white noise. i was soundly asleep in no time.

at some point i had to go to the toilet and found this mouthwash dispenser. it was something i failed to notice the last time. it was very convenient knowing that you will probably have to spend the entire day in this establishment and a fresh breath would be appreciated.

by sundown, we went up the foot bath at the rooftop. a 360 degree view of the whole area proved to be very scenic. we sat at a better area this time. this time, i was able to recognize some of the buildings at the distance, i surely have passed by these in one of my night walk sessions.

it was finally time for dinner, we tried the buffet this time. i must have eaten a meal worth two days of regular servings, it was that much. the best were the raw fish, so fresh! the fish market was definitely a stone throw away, i'm sure that was a huge factor for how fresh and delicious those came out to be. the western style food were also good but could be better. the raw fish won the night for me.

we finally entered the onsen area after having the biggest dinner in days. this area was still as good as i remembered, very romantic view of the night skyline at the distance. by the way, the face wash they had smelled so great.

we finally went out around 11 pm just in time for our last train schedules. the outside old styled shops were now deserted but had great lights. took pictures of these art decors on top of the shops, very reminiscent of ukiyo-e art form.

and here is the last look of the shops and of the main street beside it. the views at night are very stunning. it was 11 pm after all, no one was around.

i had less recorded steps this time compared to other days but i am pretty sure i had more steps. i had to take off the pedometer watch inside the onsen area, heat would probably kill the watch. not complaining though, it was one of the best relaxation times.

as always, AMPING KANUNAY!

ugh the buffet really disappointed me 🥲 the only saving grace were the hot pot and desserts. Didn’t bother lining up the sashimi area 😔
