the adventure of the nightwalker continues, allow me to recount my steps in rhymes.

ueno park

up above the trees my smile i found
negative space like chinese dragon with leaves around.
active imagination, i'd better stop. looked down at the ground.

but then in front were wide wide spaces.
a couple passed, with blushed or flushed faces .
how many "bases" could they have ran, or just drank too many cases?

on this small path before, les miserables i remembered,
eponine's line when to love she fully surrendered.
"in the rain, the pavement shines like silver", in head re-entered.

after more than an hour of walking, it slowly felt exhausting,
then came in front were stairs as if taunting.
flat grounds would have been better, up hills were just daunting.

shinobazu pond

in the middle of the pond was a familiar cite,
a temple adorned by many lanterns, not one has a light.
this cleansing area has, but closed off for tonight.

alas, the rain has stopped and this big bird approved.
i could barely see it, against the bright city it was a bit removed.
in a branch by the water it stood, a bit unbothered, mostly unmoved.

light rain it was, at this point it calmed down;
but, people still walked with umbrellas around town.
just took a picture of this restaurant, no words not even a noun.

nezu shrine

here i am in a closed shinto shrine,
this one is but a gate but look at that design.
built in 1706 yet remained oh so fine!

by this point, i was a bit flustered
for when i came before, sure an old narrow staircase was there, my brain blustered.
looked around, couldn't find it. it was just so dark and trees were clustered.

sendagi area

it is just a road, yes, from the start i knew;
but couldn't you appreciate at least the full view?
quite a sharp bend on a road away i stood a meter or two.

this bright side road was just so charming.
i don't know what it is or even what they are doing,
but small roads like this in the rain are just so inviting.

before it all

as i walked further, my brain started to argue,
what are you doing? what is wrong with you?
a photo walk in this rain? gains are few.

it was raining, yes, i knew that all along.
it has been like that all day long.
but it was not that strong, i couldn't see anything wrong.

well, what more can i say when everything is complete?
9 km in less than 3 hours, is that even a feat?
i guess no weather can keep this nightwalker away from the street.

※ the writer self is just tired after doing all these rhymes.
how do old poets, or even song writers do it?
just writing a few lines were so draining to me, waaaaaa.
