blues and adverts: June 19 2024

a sunny day indeed

my plants were very happy with this turn of events.
yesterday it rained, and now it is sunny.
my plants preferred the sun over the rain, very opposite to me.
these plants store water in there leaves, they don't need much water.
but they need the light energy to make food!
they just look so good against that blue blue sky!
this sky reminds me again of how wide the world truly is.
how much more there is to know, how much more there is to discover.
and i can't do that if i just continue to get stuck in this room.
ohh wait, i can do that with the ever reliable internet, ooops.

back to plants, loving the vibrant reds these two have.
oh, and i just noticed something interesting.
these patterns of leaves, if i am not mistaken, indicate flowers are to come.
i don't know when it will happen but that type of leaf arrangement can only mean flowers.
i haven't seen the first plant's flower yet but this one in the bottom had bloomed previously.
and they came from a leaf formation of this pattern, smaller leaves bunched up like a bud.
the flowers were simple white and small but in clusters, nothing extra ordinary at all.
but still special, they are my plants after all.

and the drinks kept coming

i was too lazy to make my own coffee this afternoon so i bought one instead.
and bought coffee jelly for dessert, too.
someone will have extra energy tonight, i wonder who.
this extra caffeine will have to go somewhere.

it was put to good use in my cardio routine.
my pedometer turned off when i went to the gym, and that i cannot accept.
i returned home to charge it a bit, thankfully home was just close by and i had a fast charger.
in 5 minutes, it charged 18% and that is enough, pedometers do not use much batteries after all.

back at the gym, hopped on the treadmill for an hour.
the hour just went by like nothing, i was out there immediately.

and so my search for a new lemon sour (a japanese alcoholic drink of shochu, soda and lemon) began.
it was a new canned drink, i saw the advert last saturday and i saw the advert again today.
this just shows how effective they are for me to go looking for the drink in four stores.
nopes!
nothing!
nada!
settled for these season limited drinks instead.

that was such a bad feeling,but then i wondered why.
it was like i was programmed to feel a certain way and had to compromise when it did not happen.
i guess this is the effect of too much consumerism.
i was already a victim from the moment i laid eyes of that advertisement.

oh well, this is the new life i guess.

just stay safe.
