there are some things in life which are worth the wait and some which aren't. there are some worth protecting with your life and some just air castles. my replacement fan finally came! this laptop i am using will now be saved! sorry for the dramatic intro but i can't help but be dramatic. i have waited for two weeks, this laptop has survived fanless for two weeks. let me say that again, two weeks! imagine how extra careful i was in using a fanless laptop. and i am using this for work as well, something to be extra careful of.
let me introduce you to my laptop for a bit. meet missy, my msi ge62 6qf apache pro laptop. she has stayed and served me for around 7 years now. it is pretty cringeworthy i know, i named her. those were the days when my imagination was still running wild; i named all my "expensive" equipment. i once had a macky for my long shelved mac book, and a lenny for my lenovo laptop which is still used by my mother in the philippines. and yes, the front plastic is still attached. i am the occasional cleaner who only cleans stuff seasonally. sorry! that front plastic helps keep the dust away from the actual laptop.
let me brush that aside quickly (no pun intended). the replacement fan arrived and i attached it right away. it is not an original though, i couldn't find original parts of this archaic laptop anymore. one screw does not quite fit but i just have to make it work, having no fan for two weeks is already a stretch. i closed everything up and observed for a bit. yes! the fan worked. banzai! the picture above is the original part, you will be missed. you have served your motherboard well.
later that night, we had chest day. we skipped leg day again, we could not afford to have sore legs during the snowboard trip this weekend. i think we have skipped leg day for four weeks now. but i guess, snowboarding is more of a leg exercise so i guess that is fine. right? isn't it? well, that sounds logical to me at least.
routine of the day:
pull ups (12 x 10)
bench press (55kg x 3 x 12)
inclined dumbbell press (40kg x 3 x 12)
inclined dumbbell fly (25kg x 3 x 12)
low to high cable fly (9kg x 3 x 12)
declined cable press (30kg x 3 x 12)
a set each of the following with no rest between sets
- overhead cable triceps extension (18kg x 3 x 12)
- cable triceps pushdown (22.7kg x 3 x 12)
seated machine fly (36kg x 3 x 12)
skull crusher (14.7kg x 3 x 12)
i definitely went home happy and satisfied after that routine. happy and satisfied in the sense that i survived the routine. there were lots of times were i wanted to just do the minimum reps but my mind wouldn't allow it. my mind argued right away, what is the point of going to the gym if you are not willing to push yourself hard. having this sort of brain sucks, you just can't win over it. such a guilt trip. i always tell others to listen to their body. that i think is the right thing to do. and i did listened to mine as well and look at what it made me do. at the end of the day, i am happy. extremely tired but happy.
as always, stay safe and enjoy life!
AMPING KANUNAY!

Glad you got a replacement fan for your laptop. It's really too difficult when you are trying to replace parts of devices you've been using for a long time.
Great job keeping physical fit. Sometimes we just have to keep going ☺
thanks. the older things get, the more difficult it is to fix.
I love to play with my hardware as well hhehe
it can be fun sometimes.
Oh wow, what a rollеrcoastеr of еvеnts! First off, I'm so rеliеvеd Missy is back in action with thе nеw fan. Honеstly, thе waiting gamе for rеplacеmеnt parts can bе nеrvе-wracking, еspеcially whеn you'rе rеlying on thе dеvicе for work. And I totally gеt naming your gadgеts; it adds a pеrsonal touch that makеs thеm morе than just objеcts. It's likе thеy'rе part of thе family.
and missy is now as cold as ever. she is playing it cool
