gym restarting inno: February 27 2024

i went back to the gym last monday and i should have written about that. but i was too tired to do so yesterday. and i was pre-occupied with another entry. i think i have to limit what i write based on which day had more impact.

but how do you know which day had more impact in your life? how would you know which day will have a greater effect years from now? how would you know which events will be used as threads in a major tapestry of your life? i don't. do you?

i'll have to write based on feels then. if no words come out after sitting in front of the machine for minutes then there must be nothing worth writing. a made up story would be fine for posting's sake but what good would that make? i believe that writing entries should bring you joy. well actually, whatever you do should give you joy, a spark to move on and continue.

i have been babbling for ages and i think i could go on some more but running thoughts is not really considered as "move to earn" so i better stop and proceed to the actual physical moving part of this entry.

MONDAY

monday was chest day (and triceps) and it was pretty difficult after coming from a long break. i mean snowboarding as an activity is not really muscle building, right? more like cardio, i suppose. so my chest muscles were sleeping for a couple of weeks now. it really took a toll just waking them up. here is the routine.

pull ups (12 x 10)
bench press (55kg x 3 x 12)
inclined dumbbell press (40kg x 3 x 12)
inclined dumbbell fly (25kg x 3 x 12)
low to high cable fly (9kg x 3 x 12)
declined cable press (30kg x 3 x 12)
a set each of the following with no rest between sets

  • overhead cable triceps extension (15kg x 3 x 12)
  • cable triceps pushdown (20kg x 3 x 12)

seated machine fly (36kg x 3 x 12)
skull crusher (9.7kg x 3 x 12)

TUESDAY

so on we go for tuesday. i had lots of errands by noon time. i went to the nearest "western union" (the money sending shop) which was two stations away. everything went smoothly but then the lady told me that that specific branch will be gone starting march. she asked me to look for another shop by then. i guess they had no patrons in that branch, i assumed.

i passed by that bakeshop i shared before and bought pastries again. choco filled croissant and an apple pie. i actually bought a meat pie too which i ate for dinner but i forgot to take a pic. don't they look yummy?

that night, i went to the gym for my cardio routine with some plusses. i have shared last time that i would also do some miscellaneous stuff during cardio day: stuff i can't fit in the usual gym routines i have. i still have a hard time with this treadmill, the sweaty me is still sweaty as usual.

seated abdominal crunch machine (57kg x 3 x 12)
rotary torso machine (68kg x 3 x 12 per side)
treadmill uphill walk (level 11 incline for 1 hour)

those were some serious step count and i could have went to bed straight. but i got occupied with making a video compilation of another trip. i used capcut this time and it was so much more easier to use. i was very much satisfied with the result. just stay tuned for that entry soon.
