Visit to a yearly fair

avatar

Avoiding crowded places is my nature, as I don't like them, and for that, I hardly visit such a place. So, in the last few years, I have rarely visited any fair, fest, shopping complex, or book fair. Such a kind of habit is not a bad thing, but I think visiting those places is indeed necessary. So this year I am trying to visit such a place whenever I get any opportunities.

Yesterday, I went to my grandmother's (mother's mother) house, and fortunately, it was the day when a yearly fair occurred, which is known as Orosh (local name). My cousins were present there, and so I decided to pay a visit there.

The fair was not as huge as I expected. The demand for such kind of fair is decreasing. Maybe it's because people can buy things online. I guess there were approximately 50 stalls at the fair. In the past, people used to visit such kinds of fairs to buy things at cheap prices. Still, now people go there with the hope of buying things at a cheap price, but I feel the price is not as cheap as people expect.

The fair was occurring in the middle of a field. I didn't see any signboard of the fair, which I was expecting to see. Entering the fair, I realized that there was no respect for male customers. In fact, I think that the male customer didn't have any value at the fair because I didn't see any stall where a male person could buy things. I felt we (male cousins) went there as the bodyguard of female cousins, as I didn't see a single thing that was worthy of buying for me.

Most of the stall owner's target was female customers, as in their stall, I saw all the things were for female customers, especially the cosmetics and beauty products for females. Honestly, I feel a little humiliated to see that everyone only gave priority to the ladies, whereas males were ignored. It's kind of unfair. Whatever, it's a thing; nothing I could do.

Hawai Mitai is one of the most popular things at the fair. I can remember in my childhood time, I visited many times just to buy the Hawai Mitai. The price of Hawai Mitai has been increased. Each one cost approximately 10 cents. It reminded me of my childhood.

There was only one stall of clothes, which was shocking in my eyes. I think the people hardly buy clothes from there, and the businessmen don't want to give a stall of clothes. Maybe they feel it's not as profitable as other kinds of stalls.

Children are the second target of stall owners after ladies, and so there were a good amount of stalls where they were selling toys for kids. I am quite sure that any kid would not go out without buying any toys from there. It's a normal thing because most of the kids are stubborn in nature when it comes to toys.

Is it possible to visit a fair and not see Ballon? Obviously not. Some sellers were selling balloons, but they didn't have any stalls. They were selling those by walking.

Nagordolna is the most attractive thing to me, and I don't want to miss any chance to take a ride on it. At the fair, it was present, and I took a ride on it with my cousins. It gives me an interesting feeling all the time.

Riding a boat (or should I say a flying boat) in a fair is interesting because it seems very simple, but it can give one a fearful experience. For a little time, fear must take control while riding when it swings faster. I also fear a little bit for a while, but I enjoy it even if it's fearful.

My voice was broken. Even if it was cold, one of my cousins insisted on tasting ice cream, and I resisted for a while, but in the end, I decided to taste the ice cream. It cost me only 5 cents. I feel guilty for the decision as my voice condition became worse after that.

There were various kinds of food stalls, and to be honest, I tasted the maximum food from those stalls, and I felt the quality of all the food was below average. I felt the money used for it was a waste of money.

Pan Masala is another attraction for many people, but I am not from that category. Pan masala was presented in attractive ways, and I liked how they decorated it.

And finally, I found a book stall there and there, but I felt that it was just a stall to show off, as I didn't find any of those books interesting, and I hadn't seen anyone buy any books from there.

I spent approximately 2 hours at the fair, and I didn't buy a thing for me. My sister and female cousin bought many things from there. After a while, we returned to my grandmother's house.

Oh, those fairs can be fun! Glad you had the chance to visit and check it out although nothing appealed to your taste :) The ice cream at 5 cents is really cheap but it looks good

It was indeed fun. At least I enjoyed time with my cousins.
Indeed the ice cream was cheap compared to other things.

So aside from the ice cream, you didn't get any other thing after visiting such a big fair?

Here .the fair I went recently was super expensive for the products sold there..gone are the days when we get things at a cheaper rate at the trade fair...the world economy is real

Such an interesting trip. I found the stalls quite similar there during the fiestas except that the items sold are even for males and females here.
