I once read that badgers were so fearless that they could fight off lions. Then, I watched some videos and saw it with my own eyes. They can basically face any animal, no matter how big or dangerous.

I guess it is in their nature to be so daring and skillful. It helps that they are resistant to poisons, for instance.

One thing that called my attention and motivated me to practice martial arts is that a badger can literally kick a lion's ass, or actually its balls. Probably "kick" is not the right word, but the expression fits.

I hope I never have to go badger-wild, but I plan to get ready, just in case.
