My Actifit Report Card: February 2 2024
A miniature church? Nope, that's actually a mausoleum that's part of the cemetery tour I took with the class.
Now if you're thinking a tour in a cemetery just sounds out of this world to use in a sentence, well you'd be dead sure to find out Poblenou's place for these (hopefully) resting souls is entombed with quite the artistic array of decor.
Built to cocoon the many casualties from long ago plagues, it was then reconstructed by the 19th century after having been severely devastated during Napoleon's reign. Though some have been abandoned by their families, these architectural finds still stand among sculptures like the 'Kiss of Death' by Jaume Barba just waiting to be visited.
