Off & Strolled [Decluttering the Mind]

Everyone was out this morning, my old man accompanying the new couple to the town center for their documentation, the Farmboy volunteered to drive the kids to school 'coz he needed to run errands downtown anyway so my brother went ahead with his boys to the other town to deliver some farm inputs. It was just mother and I. She was in a better mood and we had quite a talk as to how things have been. After having her snacks and meds for the hour, she said she'd try to get some sleep.

But not after giving me this loot.😍 She no longer want to eat sweets.

Thought about cleaning the spare room upstairs but it was locked. Called my dad to ask where he kept the keys but could not get ahold of him. Did tidy up their kitchen and living room and went out for a short stroll. The weather cleared up when it was gloomy earlier in the day which made me want to have a long walk to visit the old farm house where we used to spend summer when we were kids. Just that no one would be with mum so I decided not to.

So out the house I went, not knowing where to go first. I headed to my brother's side of the compound and strolled down the walkway going to his boys' quarters. With the plentiful rain, the weeds are growing fast. At least they cleared the tall ones and are lying on the ground drying up.

There was nothing else to see there so I walked back and noticed these tiny blooms amongst the weeds at the corner of the yard.

Across it were the red lilies (lead image) and some chili peppers thriving alongside each other. Pardon the blurry shot.😅


From there, I walked along the walls of the property where I noticed these wild berries which are already bearing fruits.

They turn red when ripe, like the ones on the photo below which was taken during my walk with Tofi sometime ago. The fruits are quite sweet, a bit similar to the taste of ripe strawberries.

My stroll led me to the family parking where I had fun capturing shadows of stuff (which I might be sharing with my fellow Shadow Hunters). I proceeded to the swimming pool which now looks yucky and needs a complete overhaul.😂

I'm just kidding!😁 This was built sometime last year supposedly for collecting and storing water in the summer but it didn't serve its purpose. _{(Pretty soon, this will be filled up with soil).} I was trying to capture the mirrored image of the clouds and sky on it but because the water is already green _{(algae growth maybe)}, the reflections aren't sharp.

From there, I walked to the front yard where I caught up with this cutie pie playing with my outdoor slippers. She was even ready for a photo opp, lol!

Checking the time, it was already mid-day. I went to mum's house but she was still on her snooze so I didn't bother her knowing that she had snacks an hour earlier. It was time for me to make lunch so I came back to the house. A couple of minutes later, the husband arrived teasing me with ice cream which he didn't even have.

And the day went as it usually does, except that my parents had guests so I stayed put indoors and did my own thing. Took a short nap too in the afternoon. Now, it's time to catch up here on Hive.

The walk, although not what was initially planned, it turned out to be therapeutic, exactly what I needed.
