Nice pic Brad, I love the Kookaburra. We have a few breeding pairs at Wenderholm Regional Park, Puhoi Estuary, being one of the northern-most parks managed by Auckland City. Governor Grey brought some across in the 1860's. They look and sound just like the ones in Brisbane, just about 50% smaller owing to the lack of lizards over here in New Zealand.

Very interesting, probably my favourite type of bird in this area, even though they can be a bit noisy
