The Weekend Highlights
The football weekend was packed with entertaining matches from the EPL and Laliga two of the top leagues in Europe. The EPL had an interesting and surprising twist this weekend, Tottenham had a narrow escape to victory against Wolves on Saturday with Harry Kane scoring the only goal of the match. I was expecting a better performance from Tottenham, Conte has to buckle if he wants to compete for the title.
Arsenal beat Bournemouth by three goals to nil, this is their third win this new season in the EPL. Arsenal is back in business and might just be a contender for the EPL title this season and I am certain they will win a trophy this season. On Sunday Chelsea lost to Leeds United away from home, Leeds United banged in three goals to secure the three points. I think Chelsea needs to start exploring options for another goalkeeper because it seems Edouard Mendy is not at his best now.
Tuchel said the reason for their loss was because they had no plane to arrive so the coaching staff took a long hour boss ride, that doesn't count he had a whole week to prepare for the match so how did the bus drive affect the players on the pitch.
Newcastle United played a 3-3 draw against defending champions Manchester City, City took an early lead with Gundogan scoring the first goal of the match. Newcastle did not settle as they banged an equaliser in the 28th minute of the first half, Newcastle got ahead of City before the closing first half and doubled their lead in the second half.
Manchester City responded quickly as Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva both scored to level up the shoreline in the second half. Unfortunately, there was no winner as both teams walked away with a point.
In Laliga, defending champions Real Madrid beat Celta Vigo away from home by four goals to one, the Champions of Europe are currently sitting in the second position on the league table with Villarreal taking the first spot.
Barcelona won their first league game last night away from home against Real Sociedad, Lewandoski scored his first brace for the club last night and Ansu Fati was a big game changer, he came into the game in the second half and delivered two assists and scored a goal. It was an impressive performance for the team and I can tell it is just the beginning, Benzema better watch out for R9 this season.
So guys that will be all for today, Thanks for stopping by and have a great week ahead.
The weekend was really packed with actions. I hope to see Arsenal win EPL title.
Fati played a very important role in Barcelona. If he became at a constant level, he would also make his participation steadily without repeating the injury.
If this happened, it could be the reason for the success of the team... Fati is almost the only element who has the creative touch....
You are absolutely right, if Ansu stays consistent and is free from injury he will definitely shine and Xavi has already made it clear he will have a huge roll to play at the club.
It was exciting to watch Arsenal win...I really pray they keep up with their winning Streak.
They might just win the title but it's too early to decide yet, we just wait and see, thanks for stopping by.
It is a nice analysis and breakdown I would love to start watching the games and so I found this really helpful, thank you.
I used to but I had to pass the passion in order to chase of things.
I hope you didn't miss today's fixtures, it was bloody. I wish you success in whatever you are chasing.
