Like I said yesterday in my post this weekend in football is on fire and today we have been served hot by football. Manchester City continued their winning run this afternoon as they beat Everton who are on the verge of saying goodbye to the EPL. Manchester City beat Everton away from home 3-0 as they push forward away from Arsenal in the quest to defend their title this season. Pep side has once again proven to us why they deserved this title and why they are kings of the Premier League, and yes they are because they are running the show back to back and no one can stop them not even Liverpool in their best form.

Manchester City was dominant in the first half of the match, their chances kept getting canceled by Everton's defense but it did not stop them as they opened the scoreline in the 37th minute of the first half. Iikay Gundogan scored the first goal for City and was assisted by Mahrez. The German international was on fire today and within the space of two minutes after his goal, he assisted Haaland in scoring the second goal for City in the 39th minute of the first half.

Gundogan was not done yet and in the 51st minute of the second half, he scored his second goal and Manchester City's third of the match. Everton found no way back as City's defense was top form, Akanji was brilliant at the defense and it helped City to keep a clean sheet. Manchester City is 85 points on the table and 4 points away from Arsenal who could have closed the gap but got beaten by Brighton just a few minutes ago at the Emirate Stadium.

At this point, any dreams of Arsenal supporters hoping their team will win the league should be buried this evening. I am even shocked that Brighton got the best of Arsenal today, they scored three goals at the Emirate Stadium, I guess Brighton returned the favor because earlier this season they beat Brighton 4-2 at Brighton’s home stadium.

Brighton defender Estupinan was a beast today, he gave an assist and scored a goal in today's match and I am regretting why I bench him from my FLP team because he got a total of 14 points which would have boosted my score and moved me higher on the table, and I think I am the highest this week on Hive FLP tournament. Back to the Gunners, it was a great run but as I said before the world cup break I don't see them winning the league, many people disagreed even @ogeewitty came for me 😂.

Manchester City are champions and a win against Madrid this week will seal their hopes of winning the UCL title in June. What a day it was guys, thanks for stopping by, and have a good evening, and oh don't forget to watch Barcelona tonight as they go head to head with Espanyol and could be crowned champions of La Liga. Thank you.

They were not good enough to contest for the title and next season I have doubt they will even reach the top two.

Arsenal really need to recount their steps and identify what went wrong in this final lap of their title race. Anyone that saw the table in February wouldn't believe that City would end up winning the league with some games to spare. Wow!

I feel like having a good laugh at Arsenal. They bottled this. But, I feel the pain of Arsenal fans especially those that have been patiently waiting for some goodnews.

As it stands, the Gunners are gonners and no amount of tears can save them.

I was sure City would win the league even before the world cup. Arsenal kept playing under pressure and it cost them. I feel for the Gunners but sadly their story has come to an end this season.

Exactly. This was a very close opportunity for them and they didn't Capitalise on it.

I wonder when they will be able to come this close again.
