EPL Title Race
Arsenal dropped crucial two points on Sunday afternoon away from home against Liverpool in matchday 30 of the English Premier League. This has put Manchester City six points behind Arsenal with a match in hand, and if Manchester City win their match in hand they will be three points away from league leaders Arsenal.
The pressure is building for Arsenal and like I have been saying they are not going to win the league this season. Manchester City over the past years since Pep Guardiola's rival at the club is very relentless when it comes to chasing down any team at the top of the table, they did it against Liverpool last season in the final league match, they came back from two-goal lead from Aston Villa and scored three goals which won them the title.
That just shows how relentless that team is and now they have a machine that loves scoring goals. This weekend Haaland hit 30 goals in his first season in the EPL, that is crazy this guy just came into the most competitive league and kept on banging in goals like it was nothing, and many thought he wouldn't succeed because according to them he played in the Bundesliga which has no competition and they called it a farmers league.
Arsenal had been fantastic this season, honestly, no one expected this kind of performance for the Gunners this season and thought it was business as usual in securing a place in the top four. Arteta has done a great job this season and if he wins the league it will be the cherry on top of an ice cream for him at the end of a great season. I have looked up both team's schedules and it is going to be one hell of a run for Manchester City if they manage to come out on top in the coming weeks.
Manchester City will be playing the first leg of the champions league quarter-final against Bayern Munich tonight, played the second leg next week and after the second leg they have a match four days later against Sheffield United in the semifinals of the FA Cup and again in four days after that match, they play against Arsenal in the EPL which they have to win at all cost to keep their chance of retaining their title.
While Arsenal just has only league matches to worry about, their opponent in the coming weeks is tough and if they let their guard down it will cost them the title. Arsenal will face Newcastle United, a team hungry to win at any cost and want to solidify their names in the top four. Arsenal will face Brighton, a team that can take them up by surprise, Manchester City and Chelsea. There are other teams but it should not be a problem for the Gunners.
It is going to be a busy couple of weeks and I look forward to seeing how it all plays out. So guys that will be all for now, thanks for stopping by, and have a great day.
