This week has been interesting in Barcelona, the club officially welcomed two new signings this week, Andres Christensen a former Chelsea defender and Franck Kessie a former AC Milan midfielder. Both players were free agents as their contracts expired in June giving them the right to leave and join any club of their choice that has an interest in signing them for the club.

Glad both players decided to join Barca, I have not seen Kessie in action but with what I have heard, I think he will fit perfectly into the team. Christensen is a top defender, although some Chelsea fans believe Barcelona are signing their used product I still feel he has a lot to offer and will prove it when he is given the opportunity.

Kessie was the first to arrive at the club, in his presentation he said Xavi was the one who influence his decision to join Barca,❝When a coach like Xavi calls you up, you can be happy because that means your work is being recognized. I spoke to him and he explained that I would have an important role in the club❞.

He also got advice from his former teammate and former Barcelona striker Zalanta Ibrahimovic, it was short and simple "Work hard, give your absolute best and go far for the club". Xavi and the rest of the players in the dressing room have welcomed Kessie to the club, he has already begun training and looks comfortable with his new teammates. Hopefully, we get to see him in action in the pre-season matches.

Christensen arrived the next day for his medical and presentation, in the presentation Christensen said he now believes dreams do come through. When he was eight years old, he wrote on a piece of paper his dreams and one of them was to play for Barcelona. He is thrilled and can't wait to start playing for Barca and hopes to be on the field every week for the team.

This is the mindset we want at Barca, a player who is ready to give his all for the success of the club, he should be ready to compete because Araujo and Pique are not ready to sit at the bench. Barcelona is not done signing new defenders, the club is still in talks with Sevilla for the signing of Jules Kounde.

Soon the second levy operation of Barca's TV rights and BLM will be completed, this will help Barcelona to speed up their signings and hopefully seal the signing of Lewandoski, it's just a matter of time.

So guys that will be all for today, see you all soon and have a lovely weekend, cheers.
