CAIRO - South Africa and Zambia were held to a goalless draw on Saturday evening at the Peace Stadium in Cairo at the end of the first round of Group B at the African Nations Cup.

The match was characterized by intense clarity between the two teams, but failed attempts to score the net, during the confrontation, which saw the management of women's arbitration, by Rwandan Salima Mukansanga, and her Moroccan assistance Fatiha Jeremoumi, for the first time in the tournament.

The draw came to support the lead of Cote d'Ivoire, who won today against defending champions Nigeria, 1-0, and scored three points.

The top three will qualify for next year's Olympic Games in Tokyo.
