Sorpresas y definiciones (SPA-ENG)
Mientras en Buenos Aires no para de llover, el feriado largo me ha dejado tiempo para observar con mayor detenimiento algunos encuentros del mundial Sub 20.
En el día de ayer finalizaron los últimos encuentros de la segunda fecha de la etapa clasificatoria y en estos grupos E y F los resultados inesperados siguen aconteciendo.
La selección que se lleva todas las palmas en esto de sorprender es Francia, pese al buen trabajo que se viene llevando a cabo con los juveniles en el país subcampeón del mundo de mayores, otra vez su selección volvió a defeccionar y se llevó una merecida derrota ante Gambia, un país con escasos antecedentes pero que mereció el triunfo de manera indiscutida, hasta tuvo la posibilidad de ganar con mayor holgura si no hubieran desperdiciado un penal a favor. Muy flojo Francia, realmente.
En otro encuentro cuyo resultado para mi fue sorpresivo se dio en el 2 a 2 entre Corea del Sur y Honduras, esperaba un triunfo coreano luego de su buena actuación ante Francia, por supuesto no sospecha del bajísimo nivel de la selección gala, sin embargo, no debemos olvidar que son juveniles y que las actuaciones desparejas suelen ser bastante comunes en estos encuentros donde se juega mucho.
Inglaterra le ganó sin sobrarle demasiado pero con autoridad a Uruguay por 3 a 2, me hubiera gustado al menos un empate no obstante confío en la calidad del futbol uruguayo y creo que se van a clasificar sin mayores inconvenientes ganando su encuentro de la tercera fecha ante Túnez.
Justamente este equipo del norte de África le ganó con un contundente 3 a 0 al subcampeón de la copa asiática, es difícil explicar este resultado, vi el partido completo y la realidad es que Irak dominó todos los aspectos del juego, a excepción de la definición en las áreas, solamente desde ese punto de vista se puede explicar el resultado, Túnez llego pocas veces pero convirtió mientras que el equipo del medio oriente no pudo, hubo un penal a favor de Túnez que a mi criterio no fue y que a la postre determinó el tercero y último gol del encuentro, de todas maneras ya estaba todo definido.
Sin tener ningún respiro, no olvidemos que el torneo comenzó hace apenas 6 jornadas, en el día de hoy comenzará la tercera y última fecha con cuatro encuentros, en el primer turno Se enfrentarán Eslovaquia con Estados Unidos y Ecuador con Fiji, ambos encuentros por el grupo B, Estados Unidos marcha primero con 6 puntos seguido por Eslovaquia y Ecuador con 3, todavía podría haber un un triple empate en el tope de la tabla que obligaría a definir las posiciones definitivas por diferencia de gol.
En el segundo turno llega la definición para el grupo A donde Argentina se enfrenta a Nueva Zelanda y Uzbekistán a Guatemala, la selección local ya está clasifica para octavos de final pero un triunfo de Nueva Zelanda le quitaría el primer lugar en el grupo lo que obligaría a la Argentina a enfrentar a un rival más incómodo, por su parte Uzbekistán necesita un triunfo para lograr la clasificación como uno de los mejores terceros o hasta quitarle el segundo lugar a Nueva Zelanda si se da un resultado contundente en un hipotético triunfo de la albiceleste.
No hay nada dicho todavía pero hoy tendremos los primeros clasificados directos y quizás algún tercero con posibilidades de continuar en el torneo.

Ayer leí la noticia sobre la derrota de Francia y inmediatamente la relacione con la derrota de Brasil en la primera jornada y pensaba que tal vez, con los cambios que ha sucedido en estos tiempos dónde los jóvenes jugadores ya tiene contratos millonarios y juegan este tipo de torneos posiblemente desmotivados; anteriormente estos jugadores deberían hacer o confirmar las expectativas y así cerrar grandes fichajes.
Hoy en día en muchas maneras es tal como tu dices, pero también es cierto que varios clubes muy importantes de Europa han negado a varios juveniles la posibilidad de jugar en sus selecciones, en el caso de Argentina hay al menos 5 juveniles que juegan y muy bien en Europa que no han podido venir.
