Finales de conferencia vistas desde el fin del mundo
Hace muchos años que sigo al baseball de las grandes ligas, no tengo la continuidad necesaria como para ser un especialista, ni siquiera me acerco a eso y mucho menos lo pretendo. Por haber nacido y vivir en un país donde este deporte no está ni entre los 20 primeros en las preferencias del público es casi un milagro que se puedan ver los torneos, en ocasiones cortados o sin la rigurosidad que su extenso calendario requiere, pero es bastante frecuente encontrarlos en las cadenas deportivas más importantes del planeta. Más todavía cuando comienzan los playoffs, los finales de conferencia y por supuesto la serie mundial. Si no fuera por la inquebrantable vocación de los Estados Unidos en difundir sus deportes principales (y por supuesto el negocio que está detrás de ello), no se podría ver este gran espectáculo por los confines del mundo.
Ayer por la tarde, luego de terminar mi jornada laboral y justo antes de la cena estuve viendo el tercer encuentro entre los Diamondbacks y los Phillies, una parada brava para las serpientes que se encontraban en la incómoda situación de 2 a 0, casi a todo o nada. En algún momento se cruzó por mi mente que podría ser un casi definitivo 3 a 0 debido a que los de Arizona desperdiciaban oportunidades a mansalva, hubo varias entradas en donde dejaron hombres en base, por supuesto el picheo rival colaboraba y también la escasa precisión de los bateadores.
Parecía una película de suspenso, de las buenas, donde la tensión crece minuto a minuto y no se sabe cuál será el desenlace hasta que faltan pocos minutos para terminar; de igual misma manera que había acontecido durante todo el partido en la 9na. entrada varios corredores en posición de anotar hasta que finalmente lo hicieron dejando al equipo de Philadelphia en el campo de juego, impotentes ante el resultado de 2 carreras a 1 sin tener opción de ir por el empate primero y la victoria después.
Las estadísticas dirán que hubo 9 hits contra solo 3 de los visitantes, hubiera sido injusto otro resultado. Pero no le contemos eso a los Phillies, fue como cuando en el futbol te defendiste todo el partido y te hacen el gol a los 7 minutos de descuento, casi logran mi simpatía en ese instante, por esa conocida sensación de estar siempre del lado del más débil, aunque ninguno de los dos equipos se puede contar entre mis predilectos ni tampoco tildar de "débil" a los Phillies, es solo una construcción retórica. Así entendí este juego, disculpen si equiparo las sensaciones con el deporte preferido de por aquí.
Luego de la cena vino el momento de elegir, tenía un partido de fútbol de nuestro torneo local trasmitido en directo, la NFL y el cuarto partido de la ALCS entre los Astros y los Rangers donde el campeón defensor venía de meterse nuevamente en competencia al ganar el tercer juego luego de un comienzo dubitativo que los posicionó contra las cuerdas al volver a su casa 0-2.
Hice lo que hace un aficionado a muchos deportes: zapping, un rato cada cosa. El baseball se puso rápidamente en situación de darle menos minutos, en la parte alta de la primera entrada apareció el poder de fuego tan conocido de los radicados en Houston para ponerse 3 a 0, me dije que ya estaba y me fui un rato a ver la NFL donde los Jaguares con un impecable Trevor Lawrence se ponía bastante rápido 14 a 3, este QB me desconcierta a veces, parece llamado a grandes cosas hasta que no, quizás sea el equipo que no lo ayuda demasiado. Habrá que esperar.
El partido de fútbol local entre Rosario Central y Vélez Sarsfield comenzó intenso, pero a los pocos minutos aburría, buena oportunidad para volver a Astros vs. Rangers y sorpresa!, acababa de terminar la 3ra. entrada 3 a 3. Me perdí un rato de emoción por lo tanto me quedé tranquilo, puse el control remoto lejos de mis propias garras y en la 4ta. entrada otra vez volvió el poderío de los Astros, 4 carreras para volver a una ganancia holgada y cómoda. miré la 5ta. entrada completa y no se movió el tanteador, a mitad de la 6to. me fui a acostar, ya me estaba quedando dormido en el sillón.
Esta mañana vi todos los resultados, ninguno me sorprendió, el fútbol 1 a 1, los jaguares se impusieron 31 a 24 con alguna tibia remontada de los Santos en el último cuarto y finalmente los Astros empataron la serie al imponerse por un contundente 10-3. "Hay partido nuevo" diría un conocido relator en español de la MLB.
Hoy continúa la acción deportiva y pese a que aquí comenzó la veda electoral por las elecciones del próximo domingo y el ruido (las mentiras) de los políticos en campaña se acalló por un rato, yo seguiré viendo deportes y vez en cuando daré mis pareceres, aunque en el lejano Cono Sur del continente Americano los deportes del Norte no peguen demasiado, conmigo esa regla no aplica.

Saludos amigo, buena combinación de deportes jeje, muy buenos los tres, la cosa ayer fue tal cual como la describes, me refiero al beisbol, lastima que te estuvieses cambiando a cada rato de canal, el beisbol siempre es bueno verlo detalladamente, buena publicación amigo, nada mal!
Gracias @epirela22, eso de mirarlo más detalladamente queda para los más conocedores y que tienen al beisbol como uno de sus principales deportes, en mi caso me gusta, mucho si lo analizo bien pero no lo prefiero por sobre otros, me gustan tantos deportes que necesitaría varias TV en simultáneo para verlos todos. La NFL si está entre mis preferencias aunque luego del fútbol por supuesto. Otro que tiene un lugar muy importante es el automovilismo y por supuesto el golf porque es uno que practico regularmente. Bueno, hay varios otros, que le voy a hacer si soy "querendón" con los deportes.
Jajaja tranquilo sólo es un comentario...los deportes son lo máximo, la NFL si nunca la he entendido bien, me voy a proponer en esta temporada a ver si lo entiendo un poco más...
