Donde mueren las palabras (SPA-ENG)
Ustedes saben que mis títulos en general tienen un doble significado, el original y el adaptado a las circunstancias deportivas que lo ameriten.
Este que elegí hoy hace referencia a una película de la extensa y excelente cinematografía argentina que vivió varios momentos de gloria; el film denominado "Donde mueren las palabras" fue la ópera prima del director Hugo Fregonese que luego de ese gran éxito fue contratado en Hollywood convirtiéndose de esa manera en el primer director cinematográfico de mi país en trabajar en la meca del cine.
Pero no estoy aquí para contar historias de cine, me quedo con el título que puede hacer alusión a muchas cosas, pero hoy y aquí se enfoca en la última carrera del año de la Fórmula 1 en el bello y moderno circuito Yas Marina en Abu Dhabi.
Aunque los despidos, rumores, peleas, desencuentros y polémicas vienen desde hace tiempo, especialmente en esta última semana se han potenciado hasta límites insospechados en la normalmente prolija categoría principal del deporte motor. Este fin de campeonato trae un sinfín de novedades difíciles de encontrar desde muchos años a esta parte, para comenzar hay varios importantes pilotos que no continuarán en sus actuales equipos el año próximo, como Ocon, Bottas, Guanyu Zhou y Hulkenberg, al menos dos de ellos no tienen confirmado equipo hasta el presente y es probable que la de este próximo domingo sea su última carrera en la categoría, al menos hasta después del comienzo de la próxima temporada. A ellos se suma el cada vez más fuerte rumor de que Checo Pérez no será compañero de Verstappen el año próximo pese a que le queda un año más de contrato.
Tampoco Franco Colapinto, el joven argentino que reemplazó 8 carreras atrás al cesanteado Logan Sargent tiene un lugar seguro ya que el equipo Williams había firmado contrato casi al comienzo de la temporada con Carlos Sainz luego de que éste recibiera la sorpresiva noticia de que no contaba con lugar en Ferrari ante la contratación del excampeón Lewis Hamilton a partir de 2025.
A todo esto hubo pelea y nada suave entre el campeón Max Verstappen y el británico George Rusell después de que este denunciara al neerlandés ante las autoridades del gran premio de Qatar la semana anterior y que estos le aplicaran una sanción insólita al piloto de Red Bull quitándole el primer lugar de partida en beneficio del piloto de Mercedes Benz. La polémica escaló hasta los jefes de equipo que defendieron las posturas de sus pilotos y hubo a su vez acusaciones cruzadas que nada bien le hacen a la categoría. Después de todo, Verstappen lo pasó como parado a Rusell en la largada volviendo a poner las cosas en su justo orden y medida.
A todo esto, en el día de ayer se llevó a cabo la tradicional cena anual de camaradería de pilotos y la cosa estuvo algo tensa nuevamente, en una de las fotografías oficiales se lo ve a Max en un extremo de la larga mesa sentado al lado de Colapinto (nuevos rumores se escucharon luego de esta fotografía), y del otro lado de la mesa, en el punto más alejado posible, George Rusell sentado junto a Lewis Hamilton.
Pero todo este palabrerío, todas las disputas, todos los enfrentamientos, dejan paso a la competencia que ha comenzado en el día de hoy con la primera práctica libre de las 3 previstas para esta carrera.
Y no queda margen para nada más porque aún restan saber algunas cosas, quien será el subcampeón por un lado y el ordenamiento final de la copa de constructores por otro; este ranking otorga dinero fresco para las escuderías en forma decreciente, son fondos necesarios e imprescindibles para continuar con el desarrollo de los vehículos.
Cuando el semáforo rojo se apague el próximo domingo no habrá más palabras, solo acción y será la última del año.

You know that my titles generally have a double meaning, the original and the one adapted to the sporting circumstances that merit it.
The one I chose today refers to a film from the extensive and excellent Argentine cinematography that lived several moments of glory; the film called "Donde mueren las palabras" was the first film by director Hugo Fregonese who after that great success was hired in Hollywood, thus becoming the first film director from my country to work in the mecca of cinema.
But I'm not here to tell stories about cinema, I'll stick with the title that can refer to many things, but today and here it focuses on the last race of the year of Formula 1 in the beautiful and modern Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Although the dismissals, rumors, fights, disagreements, and controversies have been going on for a long time, especially in this last week they have been heightened to unsuspected limits in the normally tidy main category of motorsport. This end of the championship brings with it a host of new developments that have been difficult to find for many years now. To begin with, several important drivers will not continue with their current teams next year, such as Ocon, Bottas, Guanyu Zhou and Hulkenberg. At least two of them have not yet confirmed their team and this coming Sunday will likely be their last race in the category, at least until after the start of the next season. Added to this is the increasingly strong rumor that Checo Pérez will not be Verstappen's teammate next year despite having one more year of contract left.
Franco Colapinto, the young Argentine who replaced the sacked Logan Sargent 8 races ago, does not have a secure place either, since the Williams team had signed a contract almost at the beginning of the season with Carlos Sainz after he received the surprising news that he had no place at Ferrari due to the hiring of former champion Lewis Hamilton from 2025.
In addition to all this, there was a fight and nothing gentle between the champion Max Verstappen and the British George Rusell after the latter reported the Dutchman to the authorities of the Qatar Grand Prix the previous week and they applied an unusual sanction to the Red Bull driver by taking away the first starting place in favor of the Mercedes Benz driver. The controversy escalated to the team bosses who defended the positions of their drivers and some cross-accusations do nothing good for the category. After all, Verstappen passed Rusell as if he were standing at the start, putting things back in their proper order and measure.
Meanwhile, yesterday the traditional annual dinner of camaraderie of drivers took place and things were somewhat tense again, in one of the official photographs Max can be seen at one end of the long table sitting next to Colapinto (new rumors were heard after this photograph), and on the other side of the table, at the furthest point possible, George Russell sitting next to Lewis Hamilton.
But all this chatter, all the disputes, all the confrontations, give way to the competition that has begun today with the first free practice of the 3 scheduled for this race.
And there is no room for anything else because there are still some things to be known, who will be the runner-up on the one hand and the final order of the constructors' cup on the other; this ranking provides fresh money for the teams in a decreasing way, they are necessary funds to continue with the development of the vehicles.
When the red light goes out next Sunday there will be no more words, only action, and it will be the last of the year.

Si señor, Lewis Hamilton fue campeón del mundo en 7 oportunidades, junto con Michael Schumacher los que más títulos poseen.
Es difícil decir cuál es mejor, ambos han aprovechado de la mejor manera el tener el auto dominador en su tiempo, ambos son extraordinarios pilotos y no puedo decidirme por ninguno de ellos, sería injusto.

Al menos, aprender los elementos esenciales para saber lo que está sucediendo cuando pueda ver una carrera.
Por cierto, me falta poco para comprarme el televisor. Es que usted sabe que a veces tiene que agarrar dinero por motivos de fuerza mayor como alimentación y medicamentos y, ambos están con precios bien caros.
