Se está disputando la última fecha del torneo HSBC SVNS en Singapur, el más importante torneo de rugby de 7 jugadores que hay en disputa en estos momentos en el planeta y el seleccionado masculino de Argentina, más conocido como Los Pumas, acaba de asegurar el primer puesto en la tabla general y el título de League Winners por segundo año consecutivo.
Con el acceso a las semifinales de la última fecha del seven de Singapur, sexta y última fecha de la etapa regular del circuito mundial 2024/25, el seleccionado argentino ya no puede ser alcanzado por ninguno de sus perseguidores inmediatos por lo que oficialmente es el ganador de esa etapa, también se asegura el pasaje a la gran final a disputarse los días 3 y 4 de mayo en Los Angeles, California.
Con esta nueva y sobresaliente actuación, el equipo nacional de 7 jugadores acentúa su pertenencia a la élite del deporte de la pelota ovalada y afianza su liderazgo en esta especialidad que desde las olimpíadas de Río 2016, donde hizo su presentación, no ha parado de crecer y atraer con el juego dinámico y cambiante que ofrece a los fanáticos del rugby tradicional y aunque no lo reemplaza ni creo que lo haga jamás, dota al deporte de una versión más fresca y desafiante que atrapa al espectador.

Esperemos que este año Argentina pueda redondear una gran actuación en Los Ángeles y obtener de esa manera el doble título. No será sencillo porque ese último torneo del año se disputa entre los 8 equipos con mejor puntaje en la serie regular y no hay ventaja para nadie, los clasificados hasta el momento son además de Argentina, Fiji, España, Sudáfrica, Francia, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y Gran Bretaña, solo basta observar los nombres para darse cuenta de que será muy disputado y extremadamente difícil.
También debemos destacar que en la versión femenina, que se disputa simultaneamente con la masculina, hay un seleccionado tan predominante com en varones y es nada menos que Nueva Zelanda (All Blacks), quien también se ha consagrado como ganador de la serie regular.
De todas maneras y volviendo a los varones, el torneo de Singapur aun no finaliza y ambos encuentros semifinales se disputarán en la madrugada de este domingo, cuando ya nos hayamos enterado del ganador del Gran Premio de Japón de Fórmula 1 a disputarse dentro de pocas horas en el autódromo de Suzuka.
Argentina lo puede ganar por supuesto, aunque gracias a su ventaja derivada de haber triunfado en 3 de los 5 torneos disputados hasta el momento, no cambiará el hecho de que ya se ha coronado campeón, merecido logro para uno de los más importantes seleccionados de rugby 7's del momento.

Those who have qualified so far include Argentina, Fiji, Spain, South Africa, France, Australia, New Zealand, and Great Britain. Just looking at the names shows that it will be highly contested and challenging.
We must also highlight that in the women's version, which is played simultaneously with the men's, there is a team as predominant as in the men's and it is none other than New Zealand (All Blacks), who has also been crowned winner of the regular series.
