It was an enjoyable race from the perspective of every else outside of P1 and P2. Lots of good overtakes; nice clean racing; and some good highlights for the mid field.
I wonder if one day, with "cost cutting" and budget caps, we'll see a world where "this is the F1 car, slap your logos on it and we all race the same thing"; to truly see who "the best driver in the same machinery" really is.
I get the feeling the same drivers would be towards the top.

Agree with Max, Russell doing a lot of overtakes and the mid grid had a few battles too, there are rumors more teams are over the cost cap and they might have to raise it considerably
"Inflation" :D
Perhaps the cost cap should be indexed, and increase modestly every year. Those that can be beat the indexation win? :)
It's pretty incredible what can be done with relatively small amounts of money. If only the FIA also forced all these things to be "open sourced" - we'd see an enormous boon to the development of vehicle technology on the road; instead of everything being boring econoboxes built down to a cost.
The current engine tech is pretty good proof that you can have power and economy. For what they do, in terms of Fuel, F1 cars are pretty efficient!
