Hive FPL Head to Head League GW15 Previews
There's no time to waste between game weeks as we move swiftly into a round of midweek Premier League matches.
All 10 teams play a single fixture spread out across the evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. Cut off for transfer and team selection in GW15 is 6pm (GMT) on Tuesday, 5 December.
Of course the big question that FPL managers will be pondering when it comes to selecting their final XI will be the possibility of players being rested. 8 Premier League sides were involved in Europe last week and will be again next week. While the likes of Newcastle, West Ham and Liverpool all have a midweek fixture after that as well thanks to the EFL Cup Quater Finals.
All in all, it means that some Premier League sides will have 10 matches in the space of 5 weeks to contend with and it seems unlikely that all the various star players across the FPL game will be involved in each of the 6 GWs that span that time.
Fixtures to look out for this week include Man City's trip to Aston Villa. The reigning champions haven't beaten another side currently in the top quarter of the table so far this season and Villa have a particularly impressive home record.
Elsewhere, United v Chelsea is always a big match even if neither side is quite at the level it was earlier in the century. Neither Ten Hag or Poch are in immediate danager of losing their job (apparently) but a result either way could still have a bearing on their futures.
Arsenal travel to lowly Luton but in full knowledge of the fact that their hosts have given opponents a tough time at Kenilworth Road this season. Meanwhile, Liverpool make the trip to managerless Sheffield United and free-scoring Spurs entertain a West Ham side with just a single clean sheet this season.

Prizes for winners of last week's head to head matches will be sent later today.

Division 1 Fixtures
@borran v @b0s
Legion FC got a much needed win in GW14 to arrest their slide down the table while for Hiveheadz, a 2nd straight loss puts them outside the relegation zone on points total only. However, they can consider that up until the week just gone, they have consistently outscored today's opponents in recent GWs.
As for differentials, their appears to be a mass exodus on Matty Cash by teams across the FPL with Villa's tough run of fixtures including this week against City. Meanwhile will Legion FC opt to double up on Everton defenders again when the Toffees play Newcastle on Thursday?
Further forward, Martinelli has no goal involvement in his last 6 GWs and only 3 all season while Cole Palmer started on the bench for Chelsea last time out as did Moussa Diaby. It means that it wouldn't be a great surprise to see both sides make changes in the midfield for this one.
@teofilex11 v @nonsowrites
Likodra FC continued their decent form to move into the top half of the table while Nonz FC slipped to 12th and just a point above the relegation zone after another under-average haul.
Likodra FC benefitted massively from their premium defender picks during GW14 and will be hoping for something similar this time out. TAA has notched 28 points in the last 3 matches while Trippier recorded his 4th double figure points haul of the season this weekend.
In more forward areas, Nonz FC have 2 fairly unpredictable picks in Doku and Darwin. Will they start and if so, will they deliver? On both accounts, you get the feeling that when they do get points on the board, they'll be big point but will they be big enough to warrant the barren GWs in between?
@blockchainfpl v @mckane
Both these teams enjoyed success in GW14. For Blockchain FPL that allowed them to continue to claw themselves away from the bottom of the league while for FC McKane they were able to move back into the top half.
There are plenty of differences at the back with only Matty Cash appearing in both sides and with a visit from City, he might not be an automatic pick anyway. Of the differentials, Jose Sa at home to Burnley might be the most likely candidate for a clean sheet bonus amongst the keepers. Otherwise, the real differences at the back might come in the form of attacking outputs from the likes of Trippier, Tsimikas and Udogie.
Further forward and there is really very little to choose between the sides. Brian Mbeumo continued to show his good form against lesser sides with an assist against Luton. Brentford travel to a Brighton side who can't stop conceding at the moment. Otherwise it's a battle of 2 Man City forwards with Haaland failing to find the back on the net in an open game against Spurs on Sunday despite having expected goals of 0.7.
@vickoly v @ipalibo
A big match towards the top of the table sees 4th placed Augment FC take on 5th placed Whyte FC. A win for the former could start the process of a gap opening between the top 4 and the chasing pack.
At the back there are no common players amongst the sides which means that is likely to be where the match is won and lost. Whyte FC are somewhat stuck with Areola in goal and West Ham visit a Spurs side who have scored in every game this season. However, Augment's big money signing in that position play against each other in a match which doesn't look likely to end nil nil. Tsimikas and Schar could be the real difference makers for Augment.
Spurs have looked vulnerable from set pieces of late so James Ward Prowse might be a good pick for Augment while Mo Salah will hope to feast against a Sheffield United team that has already conceded 39 goals this season.
@amirtheawesome1 v @pappyelblanco
The Amirians horror run continues and they now find themselves bottom of the league. The last couple of gameweeks were always likely to be challenging with the side taking 8 and 12 point hits respectively and it's now time for those changes to start paying out. Creekside FC also slipped to defeat in GW14 and need a win against the bottom club to keep in touch with the leaders.
The Amirians again find themselves in an awkard situation with a West Ham goalkeeper and a defender. The Hammers have kept just 1 clean sheet so far this season and that came against bottom of the league Sheffield United.
However, The Amirians midfield and forward options do look strong with Gordon, Saka and Sterling all being consistent point scorers this season. By contrast, Scott McTominay's purple patch appears to have come to an end with no goal involvement in his last 5 outings, despite the fact that he's played the full 90mins in each. As for Darwin Nunez, finishing is still the major problem, he has expected goals of 1.85 over the last 4 matches but hasn't actually hit the back of the net during that time.
@yagman01 v @gvkanten
These teams both enjoyed very strong starts to the season but have found things tougher going of late. Hungry Lions now find themselves just out of the relegation zone so a win here is vital to avoid getting caught up in the mass of teams down there. Given the number of differentials this looks like a good match to follow from start to finish.
Hungry Lions have kept faith in Spurs players despite their injury crisis and dip in form and will be hoping that Porro and Son can deliver at home to West Ham. Meanwhile Yagman FC continue to persist with the likes of Mitoma and Rashford who in the last 8 gamweeks have only managed 2 goal involvements between them.
It's a similar story upfront for both sides with no goal in 5 matches for Wissa and Nketiah relegated to the bench for Arsenal's last 3 matches. This might be a game decided by a couple of players who buck the odds and find form.
@thoth442 v @martinlazizi
A really big match at the top of the table with 2nd v 3rd. Lazz lost their GW14 match to let a golden opportunity to close the gap at the top of the league and were ultimately leap frogged by today's opponents who have outscored them in the last 3 weeks.
Thoth442 FC look the more likely to be able to extract clean sheet bonuses from Gabriel and Lascelles. In general, Lazz will hope that Aston Villa's excellent home form and the fact that Man City are slightly off the pace means that their 3 Villa assets can continue to make a difference.
In midfield, Thoth442 FC will be hoping that Son can continue his fine record against West Ham. He has more goal involvements vs the Hammers (15) than he does against any other current Premier League team.
@shamzy v @elmose
Shamzy FC suffered a real upset last week by losing to the side with the lowest overal points total in division 1. However, they managed to maintain a 6 point lead at the top and with 2nd v 3rd and 4th v 5th in GW15, they have the opportunity to once again put some daylight between them and a couple of their main rivals at the top.
However Espada Numero Uno are unlikely to go down quietly and their good performances are now beginning to translate into wins. Again, it's worth noting that their overall points total of 841 is higher than any of the 3 teams directly below Shamzy FC in the league.
With Alison out injured for at least the next couple of weeks, Shamzy FC have moved to bring in Kelleher and will hope that he doesn't get beaten with such ease as in the Fulham game. Liverpool travel to bottom of the league and managerless Sheffield United.
These 2 sides have exactly the same front 3 so the goal scoring differentials are all likely to come from midfield. Espada Numero Uno will be concerned by the fact that Gordon is carrying a slight niggle and that Diaby was subbed at half-time and started on the bench in his last 2 games.
@talesfrmthecrypt v @deniskj
Another big game between sides next to each other in the league albeit this time at the wrong end of it. Since going bottom, I Feel Qatari have managed to win 3 out of their last 4 including in GW14 where they took the risk of a 4 point deduction to make an extra transfer but came out on top.
There is very little to choose between the 2 sides at the back with both teams setting up with the same back 3 during GW14. I Feel Qatari might think that either Mitchell or Udogie represent a better chance for points than Matty Cash against City while Suffragette City have Lascelles and Branthwaite who play each other on Thursday.
Again not a huge amount of difference in more attacking areas. Both teams have players who started on the bench this weekend in Palmer and Diaby and the fact that the former lost penalty taking duties will also be a concern. Up front, it becomes a straight shoot out between Alvarez and Darwin.
Content Creators made it 3 wins from their last 4 to continue their push up the table when they shocked league leaders Shamzy FC in GW14. By contrast, Inzanagi FC had an absolute disaster of a gameweek to record just 40 points, 14 short of the league average.
At the back, Inzanagi FC continue to be limited by having 2 Sheffied United defenders meaning that it's likely that we already know who their back 3 will be for this one. By contrast, Content Creators have the returning Romero to potentially bring back into their side as well as the ever reliable Trippier.
The game though could well be decided in midfield with Son v Salah a key match up. The Liverpool man has only blanked in 2 game weeks so far this season both coming away from home but you'd fancy him against Sheffield United. Meanwhile Garnacho is enjoying an extended run in the United side, starting their last 4 games and he might ultimately be a better option than Nketiah who by contrast hasn't made the first XI in Arsenal's last 3.
