Hive fantasy premier league Gameweek 3 is upon us. With Injuries, suspensions, and fitness problems already setting in, we can see many managers already considering using their Chips. How are you feeling about your squad? Are your players all fit for another week?

The intensity of the premier league this season has increased as match officials no longer stop gameplay except for clear fouls however, the temperatures across the UK are set to remain high meaning that players would experience difficulties in maintaining a high pace game even with the reintroduction of water breaks.

Gameweek 3 Match Previews and Key Stats

Spurs v Wolves

A dramatic late goal saw the spurs grab a point at Stamford bridge. A match that was dominated for a large part by Chelsea saw Harry Kane (FWD) score a last-minute goal to ensure the points were shared. The result sees Tottenham Hotspur enter Game week 3 looking to extend their unbeaten run against a struggling Wolves side.

Wolves began their campaign with a loss against Leeds united and went on to draw Fulham leaving them with a point in two fixtures.

Wolves have won 3 of their last 4 away matches against spurs and are hoping to keep their outstanding away record and register their first premier league win of the season.

Even though Wolves has played well in their last two games, it would be difficult to get a result. Tottenham forwards could be a good choice for points this weekend. Harry Kane (FWD) could continue from where he stopped at Stamford bridge and score against wolves. Having scored in Game Week 1, Dejan Kulusevski (MID) can establish himself as a key source of value in the upcoming Game weeks. If Wolves are to get anything out of this match, They would need a performance from Pedro Neto (MID), who is selected by 13.9% of managers. Not many managers believe in him or this wolves side as he has been transferred out by 196,468 managers.

Crystal Palace V Aston Villa

A very interesting game awaits us at Selhurst Park as crystal palace hosts Villa. Crystal palace began their premier league campaign with tough games against two of last season's top 6. While their play hasn't been convincing, they have shown that they have a good chance of picking up three points against Villa. On the other hand, Steven Gerard would have to work on his defense as crystal Palace have a handful of players looking to exploit it.

Eberechi Eze (MID) would be a player to watch out for. His timely assist to Zaha gave crystal palace an important point against Liverpool. Leon Bailey (MID) has been a popular buy already with 12.7% of managers putting their faith against him to perform against the palace.

Aston Villa confirms that Diego Carlos ruptured his Achilles’ tendon during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Everton, With this news, Calum chambers (4.5M) could be an alternative for GW3.

Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m, FWD) goes up against a Villa defense who've lost their best CB (Carlos) to injury. He is backed by 7.8% of fpl managers ahead of GW3 and we think he is going to perform well.

Everton V Nott'm Forest

Frank Lampard's Everton head into this encounter desperate to get a result. They are yet to register a single point in the new premier league campaign. The toffee remains without the service of their best player Dominic Calvert-Lewin is are subject to losing more players as the transfer window might see players like Dele Ali, and key playmaker, Anthony Gordon leave the club.

Forest, on the other hand, is coming into the game on the back of a very good defensive performance against west ham. With Dean Henderson (GK) saving a Spot kick and producing a total of 14 points, His shot-stopping skills have seen about 159,276 managers transfer him in ahead of Gameweek 3.
Taiwo Awoniyi (FWD) who cost just 5.9M might just be a good option against an Everton side that has conceded easily in their last two matches.

An Everton side that looks to get back would need Anthony Gordon (MID) to perform. The (5.5M) has a decent influence creativity Index and is expected to deliver.

Fulham V Brentford

Brentford heads for a London derby on the back of an impressive victory against Manchester united. They recorded a historical 4-0 victory against a poor man united side nevertheless, they were ruthless and punished mistakes in quick successions.

Fulham on the other hand would be happy with the draws they have gotten in their last two matches. With an unbeaten start to the premier league, I doubt they could have asked for more.

Brentford has only lost once in seven games against Fulham and the bookies favor a win for the home side.

Aleksandar Mitrovic [FWD] who started the season with 2 goals against Liverpool had a terrible performance against wolves. He missed a penalty and was almost sent off for a confrontation. His performance saw him transferred out by over 200,000 managers. Although the Fulham forward [6.6M] is still backed by 16.1%, it is no longer an easy choice to keep or sell him.

Ivan Toney [FWD] who is Brentford's main man has caught the eyes of many fantasy managers as he combined one goal and two assists in the opening two game weeks. Do you think he would perform this week? We think so.

Leicester V Southampton

The future of many players in the Leicester team is a cause for concern heading into this game against the saints. Youri Tielemans and Jamie Vardy have been rumored to leave the club before the transfer window closes.

The foxes and the Saints have started the season poorly as they both sit on 15th and 17th place respectively having taken just one point from their opening two fixtures.

The home side would need to tighten up their defense if they hope to win a premier league game as they have conceded six goals already in two games. Their opponent, on the other hand, would come into the game a bit motivated by their spirited comeback performance against Leeds.

The Saints rallied back two goals down to share the points at Leeds. While Brendan Rogers's team looks the better on paper, They also boast of a good record against the Saints. Southampton is yet to win in their last 5 matches against Leicester City.

Jamie Vardy [FWD] who might be heading to Manchester United soon would fancy his chances to impress and show what he is capable of. James Maddison [MID] scored a brilliant goal against Arsenal and would be looking to provide value to his managers. He is valued at 8M for a reason and he might as well just keep performing.

Will Ward-Prowse [MID] bring down Leicester? He has been a standout performer for the saints and all eyes would be on him. He has been transferred in by over 71,000 managers.

Bournemouth V Arsenal

Bournemouth hosts Arsenal in their second home match this season. Newly promoted Bournemouth won their first home match against Aston vila before getting trashed away to the champions. They face another task at home against a burning Arsenal side who sit second on the premier league table after a perfect start winning their both opening fixtures.

Bournemouth would fancy their chances from set pieces as they did against Aston villa however, the Arsenal side just has so much advantage heading into this match.

Gabriel Jesus [FWD] would be looking to continue his excellent start when faced against a defense that conceded four goals in their last match.

The Forward is owned by 78.6% of managers heading into GW3. He is still the most selected player and considering his performance, he might as well be the most captained player this week.

Arsenal [MID] Gabriel Martinelli is another player in high demand as managers fancy him to bring value this game week. The midfielder has scored twice already and thus close to 1 million managers have transferred him in ahead of the upcoming game week.

Leeds V Chelsea

Leeds host Chelsea on Sunday with what is set to be an entertaining clash. Both sides are yet to lose this season with one win and a draw each. Chelsea is strong favorite and should come out on top. However, Leeds midfielder Rodrigo Moreno has to be kept at bay for this to happen. The Midfielder has scored in Leeds two opening fixtures already. He has been transferred in by about 774,410 managers and is backed by 10.7% to perform well against Chelsea.

You can't talk about Chelsea without mentioning the impressive performance of Reece James. Selected by 43% fpl managers, James is one of the most picked players this season. He scored a brilliant goal against spurs last week and he is fancied to bring value.

At [5M], Cucurella is an interesting choice for a defender. He had an assist in his first start and played exceptionally well. If Tuchel starts him again, He can provide more points than he did the previous week.

West Ham V Brighton

West ham comes into this game with a 3-1 win in the first leg of their European conference game. They look to build on the good performances of key players like G. Scamacca, J. Bowen, and Antonio. They all had their names on the score sheets on Thursday.

They face a Brighton side who has no losses against West Ham in their 10 most recent matches in Premier League. It would be an exciting game as I expect alot of goals from both sides.

Antonio or Scamacca, whoever starts is likely to impact the game as they both look very sharp and active.

J.Bowen who is valued at 8.5M is yet to perform this season and would be looking to impress his owners against Brighton.

All eyes are on the hardworking Danny Welbeck [FWD]. The striker has blanked only once in his previous seven outings and would be looking to strike one against west ham on Sunday.

Newcastle V Man City

The Champions would travel to St James park where they take on Newcastle United in what should be an interesting encounter. Aside from Arsenal, Man City is the only club with two wins out of two and is set to make it 3/3. The only difficulty is that they face a Newcastle side who is yet to concede a goal this season.

Last season, Man City put 9 goals in two matches against Newcastle and would fancy their chances this season again.

Kevin De Bruyne [MID] and New Signing Erling Haaland [FWD] would attract all the attention as most managers look for value from these players.

With Bruno Guimaraes [MID] the creative outlet for the Magpies, it would be interesting to see what value he can provide for his owners.

Man Utd V Liverpool

Liverpool travels to Old Trafford in search of their first win of the season. Jurgen Klopp's side has drawn their two-opening games against relatively weak teams. They face a Manchester United side who are languishing at the bottom of the premier league table after defeats to Brighton and Brenford. Erik ten Hag has alot of work to do but would surprise the world if he can come out with three points against Liverpool.

Man United has failed to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford in a long time. The Merseysiders have gone unbeaten in the last eight league fixtures against the side from Old Trafford with 5 wins and 3 draws.

A 104,000 mangers have transferred Mohamed Salah [MID] ahead of this prestigious clash. With Darwin Nunez suspended, Liverpool would heavily rely on the Egyptian playmaker. He is selected by 61.3% fpl managers. Would he perform? 159,167 managers do not think so as they transferred him out ahead of Game Week 3.

The only good news for Manchester United is that they are not expected to win this encounter and can play with less pressure. It just might be a good time for Christian Eriksen (MID). The player maker might just be one to watch.

Things haven't really been working for Liverpool so I won't be surprised. Who do you think will score for each team, if there will be goals?
