How about adding a scary badge to your board?

Take part in the Halloween challenge and get the scariest badge of the year!

What is Halloween?

Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of Hallows' Evening) is a celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day.]

It is widely believed that many Halloween traditions originated from ancient Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain; that such festivals may have had pagan roots; and that Samhain itself was Christianized as Halloween by the early Church.

Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (or the related guising), attending Halloween costume parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. In many parts of the world, the Christian religious observances of All Hallows' Eve, including attending church services and lighting candles on the graves of the dead, remain popular, although elsewhere it is a more commercial and secular celebration.

As we have now used to do for a few years, the @hivebuzz team wants to add some fun to this celebration and give you the opportunity to add a scary new badge to your board.

How to get the Halloween badge?

Have no fear, we won't ask your kids to dress up and go from house to house with Justin Sun's photo. We made it less scary ;)

Here are the rules:

  • Write a post with your scariest Halloween story.
    You have to publish your post before October 31th, 23:59 UTC!
  • Use the tags #halloween AND #hivebuzz
  • Your post must contain the magic words "Trick or Treat”
  • Have your post get at least 10 upvotes - these will be your first treats
  • (optional) Throw an “upvote” spell on this post - this will be our treat :)

And … abracadabra …

You will receive this new badge on your personal board.
Note: badges will be distributed at the end of Halloween night.

Halloween night!!! I live in Venezuela, so the custom of Halloween night is not so traditional, but November 1st, the day of the dead, is. I remember my grandmother telling us horror stories at night, with the lights off and only a lamp that illuminated her macabre face hahaha .... seriously it was terrifying!!!!

I have a question can I post in any community or is there any special community where I can post?

I am not sure if I did it the right way. I made a scary story for this. It happens on Halloween but it's not the main subject :D Really hope this still counts :D It's more a Thriller :D Here is the Story
