The Strategies Of Long Term investment By Chelsea Management
source
Last season was an awful season for the London club as they ended in the 10th position in the premier league table; failed to qualify for the champion league and Europa league.
Since I have been watching Chelsea, last season was the worst season for the club where players could not score goals.
When Chelsea was bought last year, I knew that change would occur. The new Chelsea owner would like to change many things.
After the last season ended, almost all the first-eleven players were sold. That was the first time in history I saw a club sell 80% of their players. It was a surprise to me because even the players I was not expecting to be sold were sold off. That was how I knew that an American billionaire meant business.
I began to think of how the club would get replacement for those players; getting replacement at a time is very difficult.
When Drogba left Chelsea, the club bought different players that could deliver like Drogba; they bought lukaku because he has a good physique and qualities like Drogba: yet, he could not be compared with him. Lukaku could not not fit Chelsea style.
When Lampard signed a contract with Manchester City, it was hard for Chelsea to get Lampard's replacement.
That was the reason I began to think that it would be very hard for Chelsea to get those players' replacements.
Chelsea bought players with more than $700 million. I saw it on Facebook where someone posted that the total money spent by Chelsea since 2022 was €934 million while total money spent by La Liga is €893 million. That was outrageous!
The Strategies Of Long Term investment By Chelsea Management
It has never crossed my mind until today I heard the news that Chelsea signed Cole Palmer with a 6 year contract. I began to think about why Chelsea keeps signing players for the long term.
Most of the players they signed this year were 6 years above contract.
I began to realize that they are for long term investment, Chelsea owner and management are very smart; and they mean business.
Three seasons to this time some of the players will be 2X more expensive than the money they bought them. The market value of some of the players will sporadically increase and they will attract the attention of big clubs. By the time they increase the value, the club will get their profit.
Wages Of Players are Reduced
Last season, some of the players earned bids on a weekly basis such as Haverz, Nkolo Kante, Koulibaly, Pulisic and many more. In this season the wages paid to players were lower than last season. I think the management did a great job.
Review of Premier League fantasy gameweek 3
What an awful week, only 2 players were able to get 8 points- Haaland and Saka. The remaining players were far below. The formation I used in week 3 was 3-5-2; the reason was that I believed Saka, ødegaard and Mitoma could score in the midfield, that was the reason I used 5 midfielders.
Since I saw how good Enzo Fernandez was in the midfield, I thought of using him because of his passing accuracy and finishing passing. He ended up with 2 points. I thought he could provide assist.
My defense line was miserable, only Thiago was able to earn 6 points.
Gameweek 4
I used a 4-4-2 formation. Everyone knows how good Haaland is. More than 80% of my friends are using Haaland in the premier league fantasy. In gameweek 1, Haaland earned 38 points. I removed Caicedo because I need to play 4-4-2. Mitoma and Saka can score very well, ødegaard and Enzo Fernandez can provide assists and they always make an impact in the game. You will always see the impact of Enzo and Ødegaard in the team; but Enzo needs to start scoring.
He scored a wonderful goal in the Carabao cup; I believe he just started.
My defense line is incredible, Thiago Silva is one of the best defenders in the world despite his age. He is the oldest defender in the premier league; yet, he is a backbone in the Chelsea defense. Very good in the air, and has the ability to read games.
Alexandria Arnold can provide assists any moment, this was the reason he is the best RW defender for me.
We can't talk about Newcastle's defensive line without Trippier. He must be in the selection except he has injury or illness.
This is my entry for premier league fantasy gameweek 4.

Nice post @hive-world.
With all this huge spending, I still don't know why Chelsea are still feeling very shaky in most games, even though they where dominant during preseason.
From my opinion, I think Chelsea needs to start a process where the club has to be reformed. The idea of sacking and consistent changing of managers won't help much, so a new process has to start, which they must trust.
Those players are very young and they have not understand themselves.
Sacking and changing of coach is one of the major factors the club is like this.
