Once the plant is dead we usually cut it down and make it burn or furniture for the home decoration. These two phenomenon are common in my country. Besides this I have found here that this dead plant can be lighted and it has some attraction from the tourists as it can be well oriented with light. In these cottage if this type of unique building is present then it gets extra demand from the customers.
