Hello, again. Assalamu Alaikum! How are you? I hope that you are doing well. Welcome to today's (Sunday) Alive and Thriving report. It is also actifit report number 942.

During the evening shift duty, the gynaecologist of our clinic called me asking to give a sick leave paper to one of his male patients. Why couldn't she give her patient sick leave herself? Looks like there is a strange rule here. As she is a doctor for the lady patients, her sick leave for a male patient is not accepted!!

Anyway, I asked her if the male patient really had any problem that could be mentioned on the leave paper. It was an infertility case, i.e. a chronic issue, not an acute illness. The gynaecologist suggested semen analysis for the husband. Today he came for the test, leaving his work. Hence, he needed sick leave paper.

Lucky me, he was also a patient with recurring urinary tract infections and gastritis! He visited us (GP doctor) multiple times with the above-mentioned complaints. I mentioned that on the sick leave paper.

Today a good number of patients came with generalized fatigue and weakness. The extreme heat makes the day workers sick. Today's last patient came with severe cramps in his limbs with numbness. His problem started towards the end of his today's work. Profuse sweating is the cause of such illness.
