Short stories of two of my patients

Today morning one Pakistani guy came with his friends. While he was working on top of something, suddenly he fell. He somehow jumped and landed on his feet; more on his left foot than the right. He felt severe pain in his left foot and ankle. Shortly afterwards, it started swelling. Without delay, he was brought to our clinic.

I did one x-ray. It showed that the heel bone (known as calcaneum) was crashed. The bone was in a bad shape.

I gave one painkiller injection and one referral letter to go to a higher centre.

Another 37-year-old Bangladeshi worker came to me. He was lean, thin and cachectic. He was a known case of DM but it was not controlled at all. When I checked, it was 496mg/dl; very high.

He came with his eye pain and limbs pain, along with fatigue and lack of power. I suggested that he should take insulin along with the oral medicines.

These two are out of 23 patients I consulted today. All had different kinds of symptoms, pain, suffering and concerns. On the other hand, I was the healthy one and gave them treatment. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah.
