EA FC 24 - My Bday Gift
My birthday is near! So I was talking to a friend about this and he noticed that there was a sale on EA FC 24, going for just $13 (he's from the US).
We used to play lots of modded Winning Eleven through Parsec on PCSX2 so he decided it would be fun if he bought a copy for himself and one for me as a birthday gift, and I couldn't be happier, I absolutely love football/soccer!
So, with this post I'll give my first impressions on this game, for reference, the last FIFA game I played was FIFA 12 on the PS3!
First impressions are the menus, and they look absolutely stunning. It's quite minimalistic but everything is there and it's all easily accessible, not to mention how great that grass looks.
I don't think they're quite as simple as FIFA 12 or as Winning Eleven but maybe it's just because I'm used to those and eventually I'll get used to this as well the more I play it.
My first match was with my friend who gifted me the game, Andrew. I edited out our usernames just for privacy lol. I beat him 4-2 with me playing Real Madrid and him playing Arsenal. The game feels a lot more responsive than FIFA 12 and it just overall feels a lot more fun to play, I loved how the physics handle and all the new options and "gimmicks" there are. It truly feels like a simulation.

Why are Conmebol teams separate? It's probably copyright stuff or whatever, but it's kind of annoying that I can't mix and match teams from Conmebol with UEFA or whatever, and another thing is that they don't have real player names.
But really, not a big big deal. I wish I could play as the real players from my favourite teams, and I wish my actual favourite team was in here (Criciúma) but Flamengo is good enough and I know that Oswaldinato is the king in this game hahahahaha.
The graphics look fairly decent, way better than what I saw from FIFA 23 on my friend's Xbox One. Not really limit breaking but they're good enough.
I like the ads oddly enough, they give a sort of immersion and it's funny seeing Playstation ads on the game too.
Also funny seeing "Mercado Libre" instead of "Mercado Livre" since I'm playing the game in Portuguese but whatever.
Overall, it's a really good game and I've been having tons of fun. Soon enough I'll start the career modes and stop training with skirmishes. Then I'll ahead to online and really test my skills.
Oh yeah, and Volta Football is really fun. Feels like an arcade game mode, highly recommended.
Thanks for reading! And I'll be accepting more bday gifts, thank you very much 😊 (jk)
