Buildings Taken By Wind and Snow
When I was skiing in Åre ski resort in Sweden, on the third day we were able to get up to the mountain top cause the weather was good enough. When we arrived there with a lift then the view was amazing. I will leave the surrounding views for another post but in this one, I wanted to highlight the buildings that are up on the top of this mountain and how they look in wintertime.
Yeah, they look like that. This is the making of wind and snow. Very often the weather is not clear like this and when it's not then there is a constant blizzard. Even when on the ground level there are temperatures above freezing then upon this altitude does not melt all winter around. The mountain reaches 1400 something meters above sea level.
In the photo below, this building should be a restaurant. I never went inside there sadly.
No idea what is under that mass of snow. Can you see this little shed? Look how the door seems to be underground, this is how deep the snow is on the location, crazy.
I had never seen a building like this and it was surely an unusual sight for me to see.
