DIRTY HERBIE - THE LOVE BUG - MIDWEST USA

This Volkswagen Beetle has the paint job of Herbie the Love Bug. It is a 'new' Beetle model from Model years 1997 - 2011.

The 1968 movie called 'The Love Bug' is a story of Herbie, a Beetle that is basically alive, with the ability to think and drive without a driver.

Herbie is a race car in the movie. Herbie is all white, with red and blue racing stripes and a large number 53 on the doors.

The 1968 movie was surprising and entertaining. It had several sequels. Also, in the 1970's, there were many cartoons where cars and dune buggies are alive and have personalities of their own. This concept may have prompted the genre of movies where cars are alive.

In this photo, I capture a fantastic copy of the original Herbie The Love Bug, as a newer model. However, it's very dirty with the winter driving.
