My Actifit Report Card: November 21 2024
The first snow of the year blanketed northern France. It had been forecasted for three days.
To be honest, I’m not a big fan of snow. It complicates travel, makes sidewalks slippery, and, above all, comes with a cold I’d rather avoid. Just thinking about the frost biting at my fingers already makes me shiver.
That said, there’s one thing you can’t deny: snow transforms everything. It covers everyday life with a pristine blanket, muffles sounds, and offers a white light in the grayness of November. Under its white coat, even the most ordinary landscapes become magical.
On my way to my parents’ house this morning, I couldn’t help but stop for a moment to admire this fleeting beauty.
If the entire winter could look like this, it would be perfect. Usually, winter means 5 degrees, gray skies, and an annoying drizzle that shows up uninvited. Not exactly cheerful. But snow changes everything.
As usual, my day started in overdrive: work kept piling up, and stress settled in naturally, but I’m working on it. Once all my projects are completed, I’ll take a long pause to reflect on what’s next.
This morning, I dove into my tasks, determined to make progress. But as noon approached, I decided to take a break. I opened the Freeletics app to see what my workout for the day would be.
On paper, it didn’t seem too bad:
- A warm-up,
- A 4-minute PB workout (based on my last record),
- And some stretching to finish.
The whole session was estimated to take about 22 minutes.
Each week, Freeletics includes a PB challenge in the program. PB stands for "Personal Best." The goal is simple: beat your own best time while maintaining perfect technique.
The warm-up was almost identical to the one at the start of the week. But the PB? That was a different story. The sequence was intense:
- 50 crunches,
- 10 mountain climbers,
- 40 crunches,
- 20 mountain climbers,
- 30 crunches,
- 30 mountain climbers,
- 20 crunches,
- 40 mountain climbers,
- 10 crunches,
- And to finish, 50 mountain climbers.
All of it, of course, without any breaks.
I really struggled to keep up. To prove it, I clocked in 6 minutes slower than my last record… set back in 2021.

I love the snow. Those pictures you took are beautiful. And that exercise routine I'm sure will give you a sculpted body in the long term... have you got it yet? Lol. Those workouts certainly keep the heat in the body. Hit it hard.
