My Actifit Report Card: November 17 2024

When I got up on Sunday morning, my dad was waiting for me to finalize the installation of the wood stove. I still had time to enjoy my coffee.

We went to a hardware store to buy a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, and materials to improve the chimney seal.

The idea is to keep water from seeping in and ensure it flows around the chimney. But it started raining, so we returned to Normandy. I'll have to come back alone next time to finish sealing the chimney.

I tidied up the interior. When we return with @altheana, everything will be clean, and the stove will be ready to light.

While loading the car for the trip back, we played games on the road. It was a really nice weekend, and I’m glad I got to share it with my dad!

En me levant dimanche matin, mon père m’attendait pour finaliser la mise en place du poêle. J’ai tout de même eu le temps de prendre mon café.

Nous sommes allés dans un magasin de bricolage pour acheter un détecteur de monoxyde de carbone, un extincteur et de quoi améliorer le joint de la cheminée.

L’idée est que l’eau ne passe pas et contourne la cheminée. Mais il a commencé à pleuvoir alors nous sommes rentrés en Normandie. Mais il faudra que je revienne, seul cette fois-ci, pour finaliser le joint.

J’ai donc rangé l’intérieur. Lorsque nous reviendrons avec @altheana, ça sera propre et le poêle sera prêt à s’allumer.

En chargeant la voiture sur la route du retour, nous avons joué à des jeux dans la voiture. C’était un week-end vraiment sympa et je suis heureux de l’avoir partagé avec mon père !
