My Actifit Report Card: June 28 2024

Last week, a severe storm with heavy rain hit the area where we have our land.

This caused a flood in the stream that we have to cross to access our land, sweeping away the pedestrian bridge.

The following photo was taken by my aunt 2 days after the storm:

According to her, our entire land was flooded. The pond overflowed and joined the stream.

Fortunately, our small house was spared. We will obviously need to reinforce the concrete blocks all around, especially by adding soil.

New severe storms are forecasted for Saturday, June 29th. So, I decided to clean up my land before this new wave, which I hope will be less intense.

The idea is to maintain the area where the water flows when the pond overflows, so it can drain more easily. With the brush cutter and after spending the day working on freelance projects, I cut the grass as much as possible.

In the following photo, you can see that I left the back as a "wild meadow" because the idea was really to leave a passage for the water. I know that the water does not flow through the back when the pond overflows.

Once that was done, I had some battery left in the brush cutter, so I cleaned a path all around the pond:

In the photos, you can clearly see that the color of the pond is muddy brown, proof of the recent storm.

Continuing with the brush cutter, I went up to the clump of trees that hides the small cabin where we put our dry toilets. I realized that this clump of trees (a pine, a hazel, and another tree together) had really grown in width.

As I got closer, I discovered that a tree from the neighboring forest had fallen on this clump of trees, damaging the cabin with our dry toilets underneath.

The trunks are now resting on what remains of our dry toilets. I couldn't take a photo because I didn't want to get too close for fear that all the trees might fall.

One thing is certain, this will add a lot of work for us.

Observing the trees around me, I saw how high the water had risen. In some places, there was at least 50 cm to 1 m of water. It is a miracle that our small house was spared.

Keep up the good work. 👏🎵

Dear beloved Hive creator,

Coding poet Gudasol here to support you sharing your art + life on Hive.

As a fellow creator, I know how hard it is to get the word out there.

I built cXc.world to help creators like us get more support from the blockchain community + beyond.

Share your music on cXc.world, and copy the Markdown for a easy post includes embedded players for Spotify, Youtube, Soundcloud.

That way, you can earn HIVE + stack streams on centralized platforms, as they do still matter.

Not a music creator? No problem. You can still use cXc.world to find + share music you love.

What's next?

Preview the next evolution of cXc, Tetra.earth.

Expose local music from your area!

We're helping grassroots musicians, and you can too by adding their music (no sign up or WAX account required).

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋

We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.

For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
