My Actifit Report Card: February 24 2024
Yesterday morning, we continued improving the floor of our quaint green house. Later, we set off for Normandy to celebrate a family birthday. However, after 150km of the 300km journey, our converted van had other plans.
The alternator came loose. Thankfully, we managed to pull over quickly. Upon opening the hood, we saw that the alternator was hanging on by the electrical cables alone. Lacking the tools and skills to weld, we had no choice but to call a tow service. They took our van to their garage, and since it was 19h and immediate repairs weren’t possible, our insurance arranged for a taxi to take us to our family's home for the birthday celebration.
This week, we'll need to find a car to retrieve our van.

Haha, it could have been so much worse! Already, my breakdown could have caused an accident, killed people and so on. At least it's all material. It's annoying, but nothing too serious ^^
