October 24 2024 - I hate Zoom

It's really "fun" to use Zoom. Nevermind the things that in the app I had no control over the volume, it was either LOUD or LOUDER and in the browser version the little fucker claimed that I hadn't given permission to microphone, although I had, but what really bugs me is how long it actually takes to find out where the issue is when people can't hear you. Apparently, it is possible for the mic to get power from the mic cord, although it's broken so that your voice can't be heard.

40 minutes lost.

And I really hate it when people come to Zoom and even though instructions have been sent two weeks prior what they need to have ready to share to the others, they only then start to ask what they should do because apparently they can't read the instructions on their own and are incapable asking help beforehand so that they would be ready now.

Fortunately, I had my dance classes, and it didn't rain, so I got to cycle to work and back.
