Between hundreds of motors at Redbull Romaniacs 2023 // Wednesday Walk
I know it's been a while since I posted in this community as it pretty much happened with most of the communities in the past few months except the travel ones, but since I had an amazing experience on Monday, I thought it's the right moment to share the whole adventure along with the Wednesday Walk initiative by @tattoodjay.
Actually, attending Redbull Romaniacs didn't represent the first time for me since I had a similar experience last year when I only found out about the event with just a few days before starting.
If you are an enduro fan perhaps Redbull Romaniacs says something to you, but for those who never heard of it before, do keep in mind that we are talking about the WORLD's toughest hard enduro rallye.
This year, the rally began on 24th July and it will last until 29th, so if somehow you are in Romania, you still have time to admire the world's best riders, but either way, the event is held yearly in Sibiu and its surroundings, starting with a quick parade in the center of the city and then a show for the audience where the riders do all kind of acrobatics.
Even if the pictures show just a few riders, the parade lasted for about 6 minutes and there were hundreds of riders taking part in it.
Along with these, a few more hundreds of riders were waiting on the street that became home to various elements that would test them in front of their fans, so we can easily speak about more than one thousand riders from 55 countries being gathered in a single place.
Unfortunately, a thing that happened both last year and this year, was that they didn't respect the schedule when the parade should begin and made lots of people impatient to see them coming. But as much as I hated waiting at 32°C for tens of minutes, as much I understood that it's almost an impossible thing to be punctual in this situation because the parade couldn't start without all participants and speaking about hundreds of people with unique behaviors, perhaps there were quite a few that didn't manage to make it in time.
As soon as the parade ended, both the riders and the crowd moved to the next point of interest which was just 5 minutes away of walking from the center of town, the whole show happening on one of the main streets of Sibiu, along the wall of the fortress.
Over here, access to the street was forbidden for the cars because it was entirely dedicated to Redbull Romaniacs and especially to the show made exclusively for the audience.
Everything was arranged smartly so the riders will have a different way of access than the rest of the people and people wouldn't risk bothering the competitors during their acrobatics.
There was even a DJ that was mixing live in the official Redbull car, along with a speaker who was naming some of the most famous riders, their background, but also making people aware that there is just a single lady in this competition who deserves a lot of encouraging words from us. This made me happy to see her between hundreds of men because it's another proof that there is nothing that women can't do, haha!
The trail dedicated to the riders began with a bunch of logs and some ramps that would make them avoid crossing the logs if they have enough speed to jump over, then some boulders which turned out quite challenging for some of the participants, which was followed by some huge tires placed in various rows which made the competitors seem like riding waves.
The next parts of the trail were a series of ramps and empty spaces which they had to jump over, an improvised pool with a few more logs part of it, a ramp covered in small tires, some bigger logs placed in a zig-zag pattern, and then some rectangular cement blocks.
After they finished this trail, the way back to the start happened on some ramps placed at a higher altitude and even a vertical wall that they had to cross with the enduro bikes, which also seemed as the most exciting part for me.
After going up and down the street to admire the show entirely, I took some time to walk between the park that turned into a huge parking lot for the motorbikes which were so beautifully completed with the flag of the country from where the riding was coming.
Seeing all these, gave me a unique feeling of how easily people connect through a common passion no matter where on the globe they are coming from. And frankly speaking, hobbies are the best way to connect people and create stunning memories together even if you don't know anyone around you.
After the demonstration show ended we made our way back to the car ready to head home with plenty of new memories captured both with our hearts and phones. I loved seeing lots of camps placed on the street representing various brands that would either sell their products or offer free rides with the electric enduro bikes to the experimented people.
What I admired more though, was that even if it's a yearly competition, the obstacles arranged for the show demonstration were different this year which encourage people to return for their yearly dose of adrenaline even if they saw some previous editions too.
And even if you don't make it to the show, the city is full of riders this period so it's almost impossible not to get surrounded by a group of riders every 5 minutes of driving, which also gives a specific energy that I absolutely love.
And even if Sibiu is full of unique events, especially during the summer and I have many favorite ones that I love attending yearly, Redbull Romaniacs will always stay in my Top 3 just because I've always loved motorcycles in all their forms but which will remain a silent dream of mine.
The Redbull Romaniacs editions I attended so far:

Those obstacles courses are so nice. It must have been such a thrilling experience being able to view all of that firsthand. I don't know if there was a winner or anything but it seems like the whole point was about lovers of the same hobby, meeting together and having fun.
Absolutely. Everything is full of adrenaline even from simply being a apectator - I can't imagine how the participants actually feel but must be such a great activity and sport.
There was no winner on that day as it was part of a show demonstration but the next day the riders did cross the same trail again but against time which classed them on different positions for the next stages of the event which are undergoing until 29th July when we will have a final winner.
woww busy bikers!

Absolutely! Thank you!
Hobbies connects people together, just like the back ground picture of the motorcycle
Indeed
now thats an event i would love to say back when I was younger I used to Motocross and do trail races, but natural trails not man made like these seeing it would rekindle my memories of when I raced, probably also trigger the aches i have from it LOL
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Well, the event is entirely held in nature but just as I said this was a demonstration show for the audience since they are not allowed to come to the mountains and actually attend the stages of the races.
Thank you for stopping by! :)
Sorry I must have missed reading that but still was so cool to see
No worries!

It was my first time for me last year too, and I was hella surprised by the event as well. But I call myself blessed to have it organized yearly where I'm living.
Thank you for stopping by! Greetings from Romania! 👋
Oh that's great 😃
Oh wow hello there from Philippines 👋 I would love to visit your place someday hehe
I remember that bridge so well! Sibiu always seems to have something happening, I wish that happened in my city, some great action shots captured and a lovely hot sunny day as well!!
That's right. During the summer especially, it's impossible to get out of the house and don't see something happening in town either we talk about shows, exhibitions, festivals, concerts, and so on.
Thank you for stopping by ❤️
love it

Wow these riders are so talented, how were they able to pass through all the hurdles on their way?
Being the world's best riders it's a fairly good answer to your question, lol. Thank you for stopping by!
