Hello, The Anime Realm community! In my country (Cuba 🇨🇺), we are in the middle of summer. Many people choose these days to go out and sunbathe, take a break from work for a few days, and recharge their batteries.

Others simply go to the beach with friends or visit a museum. Now that we are in the middle of the Olympic Games, there are others who just sit down to watch sports and enjoy in peace. This post is a bit about sports.

Since we are in the midst of the Olympic Games, I will talk to you about Slam Dunk, a sports manga par excellence.

Let’s get to it. Slam Dunk is a manga created by Takehiko Inoue and was first published in 1990.

It tells the story of Sakuragi, a somewhat problematic boy who joins a basketball team just to be with the girl he is in love with. But don’t worry, I won’t give you too many spoilers about the story. 🏀

As I mentioned earlier, Slam Dunk is a basketball manga. I love its dynamics because throughout the chapters, it shows you the basic rules. This helps others to better understand the sport. (If you’re a fan of tactics, you’re going to like Slam Dunk.)

I love how the characters are drawn in motion with the ball. You can tell that Takehiko Inoue studied real movements made by athletes. This makes each panel epic and showcases dynamic movements.

Clearly, it’s a manga full of action, so if you like mangas with a lot of action, this one is ideal. But the action is tied with a lot of humor, which makes it even more fun. (Emotions and laughter—what more do you need to read it? 😏)

The details.

Throughout the manga, I noticed that in many panels, the author drew the basketball shoes with great detail. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a fan, but I think it adds a bit more realism.

You can even see some characters wearing sports brand clothing that is common nowadays. This is something I personally enjoy seeing.

Slam Dunk is undoubtedly one of those mangas that once you start reading, you can’t stop. That’s why I recommend it to you, especially if you don’t have anything fun to read this month.

Hola comunidad de The Anime Realm, en mi país(Cuba🇨🇺) estamos en pleno verano. Muchas personas escogen esos días para salir a tomar el sol, descansar del trabajo por unos días y recargar baterías.

Otros simplemente van con amigos a las playa o salen a visitar algún museo. Ahora que estamos en pleno Juegos Olimpicos hay otros que solo se sientan a ver deportes y disfrutar en paz. Este post va un poco de deportes.

Ya que estamos en plenos Juegos Olímpicos les hablaré de Slam Dunk, un manga deportivo con todas las de la ley.

Vamos al lío. Slam Dunk es un manga creado por Takehiko Inoue y fue publicado por primera vez en el año 1990

En el vemos la historia de Sakuragi, un chico un poco problemático que entra en un equipo de basket sólo para estár con la chica de la que estaba enamorado. Pero quédate tranquilo, no pienso hacerte muchos spoilers de la historia. 🏀

Slam Dunk como dije anteriormente es un manga de basketball. Su dinámica me encanta porque a través de los capítulos te muestran las reglas básicas. Esto ayuda a otros a conocer mejor sobre el deporte.(si eres fan a las tácticas Slam Dunk te va a gustar)

Me encanta como están dibujados los personajes en movimiento con él balón. Se ve que Takehiko Inoue estudió mucho los movimientos reales que hacen los deportistas. Esto hace que cada panel sea épico y se vean movimientos dinámicos.

Para los fans del basket no sólo te enseñan las reglas básicas. También muestran tácticas avanzadas como la de posiciones y estrategias tanto la ataque como en la defensa.

Claramente, es un manga lleno de acción asi que si te gusta los mangas con mucha acción este es el ideal. Pero las acción es ligada con mucho humor. Eso hace que sea aún mas divertido.(emociones y risas. Qué más necesitas para leerlo?😏)

Los setalles

En el transcurso del manga noté que en muchos paneles el autor dibujaba con mucho detalle las zapatillas de jugar basket. No sé se es por ser fan, pero es algo pienso que le agrega un poco mas de realismo.

Incluso se pueden ver algunos personajes con ropa de marcas deportivas que son comunes hoy en día. Esto es algo que disfruto ver personalmente.

Slam Dunk es sun dudas uno de esos mangas que una vez que emiezas a leerlo no puedes parar. Por eso te lo recomiendo, aun más si no tienes nada divertido para leer en este mes.
