El fin de semana pasada estuvo llena de automovilismo, con la realización de las carreras más importantes de la F1, Indycar y NASCAR. En el principado de Mónaco se dio en lo que considero es la carrera más mítica de la máxima categoría del deporte motor, la Fórmula 1, mientras que en el óvalo de Indianapolis se corrió la carrera más importante del automovilismo, un lugar muy imponente donde 350.000 fanáticos ven una competencia que es considerada por muchos pilotos, como la más importante de todo el deporte motor, una carrera llena de mucha historia. Finalmente en Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR corrió su carrera más larga, que tal vez no sea la más importante de la categoría, pero si está entre ellas y es una de las más esperadas por los fanáticos de la serie de autos tipo stock del mundo del motorsport. Mi en anterior publicación compartida en la comunidad, un usuario me dejo un comentario sobre que este fin de semana era perfecto, razón por la cual decidí titular esta reseña de esta manera, donde les voy a comentar lo que fueron estas tres competencias.

La primera competencia en disputarse en el día fue el Gran Premio de Mónaco de F1. De esta competencia lo primero que quiero destacar es la gran clasificación, donde los primeros tres pilotos quedaron encerrados por un poco más de una décima de segundos. Max Verstappen de RedBull, fue quien se quedó con la pole, aumentando aún más su dominio dentro de la categoría. Fernando Alonso fue segundo, quedó muy cerca de lograr la hazaña de batir al piloto más importante de la escudería de la bebida energética, pero esta no fue la oportunidad, con lo cual su equipo fue penalizado. El tercer lugar fue para Charles Leclerc, pero este perdería la posición por una penalización tras obstaculizar a otro piloto en la sesión de clasificación, por lo que el piloto Estaban Ocon fue quien subió a dicha posición.

Mónaco es un circuito complicado de adelantar por sus características, un trazado muy estrecho, es difícil pero no imposible. Por esta razón es que la clasificación juego un papel importante para la carrera, junto con la salida de la misma. In the Principality of Monaco took place what I consider to be the most mythical race of the highest category of motorsports, Formula 1, while in the Indianapolis Oval took place the most important race of motorsports, a very impressive place where 350,000 fans watch a competition that is considered by many drivers as the most important of all motorsports, a race full of history. Finally at Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR ran its longest race, which may not be the most important of the category, but it is among them and is one of the most anticipated by fans of the stock car series in the world of motorsport. In my previous publication shared in the community, a user left me a comment that this weekend was perfect, which is why I decided to title this review in this way, where I will comment on what were these three competitions.


The first competition of the day was the Monaco F1 Grand Prix. The first thing I want to highlight from this competition is the great qualifying, where the first three drivers were locked together by a little more than a tenth of a second. Max Verstappen of RedBull, was the one who took the pole, further increasing his dominance in the category. Fernando Alonso was second, he was very close to achieve the feat of beating the most important driver of the energy drink team, but this was not the opportunity, so his team was penalized. The third place went to Charles Leclerc, but he would lose the position due to a penalty after hindering another driver in the qualifying session, so the driver Estaban Ocon was the one who climbed to that position.


Monaco is a complicated circuit to overtake because of its characteristics, a very narrow track, it is difficult but not impossible. For this reason, qualifying plays an important role for the race, along with the start of the race. For this race there was another unknown among the drivers and teams, will the rain come? En cuanto a las 500 Millas de Indianapolis fue una competencia que no tuve el tiempo de verla en su totalidad, por cuestión de tiempo, pero sí estuvo muy al tanto de lo que fue la competencia. Indy 500 nunca decepciona, es una competencia donde vemos muchos sobrepasos, peleas por la punta de la carrera. En esta oportunidad no les quiero comentar mucho sobre lo que fue la carrera en sí, que fue ganada por Josef Newgarden del equipo Penske, seguido por Marcus Ericsson en la segunda posición y Santino Ferrucci en la tercera posición. Finalmente para el mismo domingo 28 de Mayo de 2023, se espera cerrar con broche de oro el gran fin de semana perfecto, pero la realidad es que esto no se dio por la lluvia que se hizo presente en el óvalo de Charlotte Motor Speedway, por lo cual la carrera se programó para el lunes. Pero no solo fue la carrera, sino que también la práctica fue suspendida, al igual que la clasificación, por lo cual la pole quedó en manos de William Byron, por la fórmula que se implementó por la pandemía del Covid-19, donde toman en cuenta la posición en el campeonato de propietarios y los últimos resultados. En este segundo segmento fue donde se presentó un incidente entre los autos 9 y 11, de Chase Elliott y Denny Hamlin, donde en primera instancia el 11 llevó al contra el muro, y al salir a la recta posterior, Elliott giró su volante hacia Hamlin, ocasionando que este hiciera un trompo.
