We chose the "one vehicle for all" solution, with all the compromises that it involves but that way we have made a few trips that we wouldn't have done otherwise. As impressive as a Sprinter might be, we have found our old renault kangoo handy in every occasion!

We never really converted it, more like a draft of a conversion but it is our only car and we have to do so many different things with it. If you are looking for something smaller maybe you'll get inspired from this :)

The best part about going to the parents house is that there is usually a hot meal waiting for you. It's a bummer that you had to settle for warmed up burgers after such a long day...

Good luck with your meeting!

Yes, I've looked into kangoo cars! At the moment, I'm more interested in "Land-Rover Defender"-style vehicles. For several reasons:

  • It's mechanical stuff that I feel capable of doing a bit myself.
  • If we want to lower a vehicle onto our land, we have to take a muddy sloping path and then cross a stream, which can be deep depending on the weather.
  • When we're out and about, we like to use paths that are difficult to negotiate.

As for the layout of yours, I'm sure you don't need much more than that. It's more than enough to set off on an adventure and enjoy!

As for my parents' house, that's because they're away on vacation, so when we arrived there was no one there. We knew that, which is why we went and got burgers, which we then reheated. We were so hungry we could have eaten anything!

Of course a Kangoo is no much for a proper off roader like the defender. I hope you'll find what you are looking for!
