Salah breaks Gerard record

On Wednesday night, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was back on the spot after 49 minutes of play against AC Milan in the Champions League, but the goal was extra special for the Egyptian sharpshooter.

With the goal, Salah is now the highest scoring Liverpool player in history at Anfield in the Champions League context. However, he does not share the record all alone. The goal against Milan was only a touch of the legend Steven Gerrard's record with 14 goals at the iconic stadium, and it is thus the same number of goals that Mohamed Salah is now noted for on that front.

It could have even been even better for Mohamed Salah, who could have already tipped Steven Gerrard completely off the stick as the highest scoring Liverpool player at Anfield in the Champions League.

Unfortunately for the 29-year-old Egyptian star, he was blurred from the 11-meter spot and abused the game's biggest chance and instead had to watch his attempt saved by Milan goalkeeper Mike Maigman.

In return, Mohamed Salah can take comfort in the fact that Liverpool managed to defeat Milan 3-2 despite being down 1-2 during the match. After all, the Egyptian also equaled Gerrard's record, which he will most likely beat completely in the near future.
