Bycicle Trip in Linz
From time to time I enjoy to go on a bycicle trip here in Linz, and often I choose a trail near the danube since then I can assure it doesn't have so much upward and downward slope. On hot summer days like today it is great to have a little bit cool air from the danube and not so much of an effort to get quite a bit of kilomenters. I am happy that here in Linz I can get quite easily along with the bycicle and there are many bycicle pathways in the city. Along the danube there are severwal pathways that are build underneath the flood protection dams where no cars are allowed. A lot of people use these pathways for cycling and running in their free time like me.
I just had a phone call with Stefan and since I don't have a long lens for wildlifephotography at the moment because it was stolen in Italy. We will meet and do some cycling together in the next months. Something I am already looking forward to. Until I buy a new Camera and lenses for wildlife. For Macro and landscapes I can still take my old D500 when I am feeling well enough to do so.
Cycling can be very exhausting depending on how fast and how far up a mountain you go. At the moment I am not that strong to do some mountainbiking but Maybe over time when I do a little bit more workout I might be able to do some mountainbiking again like in the old days. For now just cycling normal routes with only moderate up and downs is something I plan to do.

I am happy that Linz became better and better with several cycling pathways and at least on some spots you don't have to drive alongsite with the cars. This makes it even more attactive to do some cycling here. Underneath the bridge I am driving here is also a free water dispencer with drinking water for joggers and cyclists, and there are some official routes around the city for jogging and cycling with different stops and nice pathways.
I know Vienna has to offer even more pathways for cylclists and Amsterdam is probably the Cycling Capital. When I visited Amsterdam with my father several years ago I was amazed how good they treat bycicle drivers over there. I am defenitely coming back there.

It seems that we got inspired by the same river (and its canals) to have some bike trips today ;)

It's nice cycling along a river. You have a nice view, it gives some coolness and usually you don't have to climb a lot.
Nice ride 👍
