More Spring Snow, Sunshine, Chiro, Plants, Practice, Aim, Kraken Surprise - Monday

It was another coating of the white cloud dandruff yesterday morning and it was just stopping as I was getting up before 5am. All of an inch and it was actually a bit chilly outside at about 20F. The snow was still wet and heavy despite the colder temps. It did mean the highway was a skating rink for part of the morning and I watched a number of calls come up on Pulsepoint.

I headed into my chiro appointment after getting the boys to school and the storm threw cells of snow at the region. As I was driving home I drove through a seriously heavy snow squall and then a mile from the house there was nothing but a few flakes falling. The cell had moved west to east south of the farm and missed us.

That was the jist of much of the day as cells would come streaming over us and dump snow for a few minutes then be gone.

I had gone to pick the boys up and a nice cell came over and pounded the school and the valley with styro-snow then poof it was gone. We got home and the next cell came through which DUMPED fat flaked snow for about 40 minutes. It amounted to all of half an inch on the snow covered ground but on the driveway it melted quite fast.

This is the part of Spring storms that I do love, the transition from storm to sun.

Spring Snow.jpg

The rest of the afternoon was nice and partly sunny which propped up the temps a bit for the evening.

Even got a bit of sun on the greenhouse.

The plants got a good watering and they are coming along nicely now. Next week I should be able to start picking baby spinach leaves.

The lows have been in the teens and 20sF but the greenhouse has not fallen below 34F thanks to the bitcoin heater plugging away. It has made more than half of its cost already in mining and I have lost nothing to transfer fees thanks to the new Lightning payment option.

I got dinner ready well enough in time and we all ate before I took R to wrestling practice. The temps were falling so the highway was a bit slick already and the parking lot was a pretty slick sheet of ice.

The Kraken played the Flames so I had that on and spent a bit of time at the board. I had a seriously solid session with this being one really nice grouping. I should have gotten a shot of the 2 3x 20s that slotted in right next to each other snug in the right corner. My throw is slowly becoming more consistent and my grip on the darts almost the same every time.

They have a blast when playing the laces game, have to tag the shoe laces to get a kid out and R is really good at it. He won one round, 2nd another, then was out early on another.

They did it, they REALLY did it. The Kraken won 4-2 in a desperately needed win for points to have even a sliver of hope of the playoffs. Now if the other teams would just go on the slide for a month it would be no problem...

Got out to soak and then finished watching the game once out.

Today is crisp out at around 18F right now before dawn but should get up into the 40sF today which will melt the snow quickly with no clouds to obscure the sun. I've got to get the boys to and from school, lessons to do early then some practice on the board, I have to readjust my headlights on my truck as the low beams are too low, then this evening the Kraken play again, I'll get dinner made, and I'll see what else I feel like doing today.

Oh and hope you all have been DCAing #BTC the past months and watching the trx fees for minimums to move to self custody. Shit's getting wild out there.
