Another Solar Cycle, ManUtd, Snow, Frank's Diner, Super Bowel, Fire, Grilling, Trailer - Sunday
Yesterday was my annual day of reminder that I have traveled another cycle around the sun. My morning was spent watching soccer, Man Utd came on at 8:30am and in a miracle they managed to win the game against Villa. It has been so hit or miss with them this season and I have no idea how they are managing to be as high in the tables as they are.
Once the match was over we all loaded up in the car and headed down to Spokane and on the way drove through a heavy band of snow. The flakes were HUGE since it was 36F. The band was only about half a mile and then poof we were out of it and in rain.
We went to Frank's Diner on the north side which is an old Great Northern railroad car. Outside they have a gazebo to wait in and the boys tried coffee, which probably wasn't the best idea but now we know.
It was a long ass wait but it was worth it for the good food.
The boys loved their hot cocoas.
I got the elk burger breakfast which was DELICIOUS!!!!
The afternoon we futzed around the house while the super bowel was on. It was a seriously shitty year for commercials which used to be the whole reason to watch. Maybe 3 stand out. The first opener from the NFL about having to wait for the next season with the bird teams flying around, that made me chuckle. Then the foot fetish one made me laugh. And finally the RFK Jr one was just silly. The NFL got their goal of having some vapid idol connected to the game.
It kept raining off and on for much of the day as random cells would come through. The real storm hit this morning though as it was DUMPING.
In between rains I was able to get the fire going in the pit to grill my bday dinner.
It was near 6:30 when the t-bone steaks were done, though I thought I might have over cooked mine it turned out to be just perfect.
If I ever were to have a last meal I wonder if they would allow me to cook my own steak?
As I was about to go out to soak I remembered that I had to get grain this morning so I went and hooked the trailer up and got the barrels loaded.
Then went out to soak for an hour. All in all a good birthday and I managed to keep the migraine pain at bay pretty well.
I have been to town for grain this morning in the DUMPING rain and it was dropping hug flakes as I got close to the house on the way home. It looks like we'll get rain until noon or so from the doppler. I have to empty the barrels after I get the boys to school, then I have a chiro appt, the fan for the furnace will deliver so I will get that installed and the central heat back working, pick the boys up, get dinner ready then R has wrestling practice.

I wish it could just rain right here
The heat is unbearable and it will be extremely bad for those who do not have AC in their houses
I'd gladly give you some of the rain we are getting!
I myself love watching football and it's great to pass the time with the kids this way.
