You wanna know a thing that sucks? Tough, here it is. Broken glass is a bitch to sift out of the ground. I was raking in the yard, mere feet from where numerous kids had dug in a digging pit, and found the MANY shards of glass from a broken mason jar. I got the vast majority in the garbage and buried the rest (I hope).

This property has been continuously farmed since 1670. A tobacco shed was raised on it at least 150 years ago. But no one lived here until we built in 1983. All the workers out here over the centuries had dumped glass and ceramics among other things out here. I have constantly been picking up glass and ceramic shards for decades.
